((Right then. This is a preliminary test of a potential new battle system, this one RP-based rather than dice-based.
As I'm sure you've all noticed, in RP-style battles, people have a tendency to lose track of others' positions in battle, and end up "teleporting" because of it, with the movement usually in their favor, though not always, as well as a sort of refusal to take serious damage, with roleplayers conceding only minor damage to a usually auxiliary part of their Zoid, with full functionality occasionally returning later in the battle. These factors and more tend to cause RP fights to drag on until someone gives up just for the sake of ending it. This, in turn, has pushed pretty much everyone into dice battling, even those of us who'd really rather be RPing.
Therefore, I thought an MMM-like judge system could be put in place to keep the RP-styled battles from getting out of hand without forcing dedicated roleplayers to use the dice system or some other system of numbers. A bipartisan judge (not actually an in-RP part of battle), played by a guild member not involved in the battle, will call hits and damage, CSFs, battlefield positions and turn orders after each round of RPing, thereby eliminating teleporting and excessive bullet-dodging. The skill of the pilots and the power of the Zoids will of course be taken into consideration when judging as well. Basically, the judges will keep people from using the RP battle-system to gain unfair advantage over their opponents, while still rewarding the raw skill of clever roleplayers.
The system will be run thuswise:
The person acting as judge will state the battle type, terrain, pilots, Zoids, teams (if any), classes, the starting distance between the Zoids, and any other information relevant to the battle.
A dice roll by the judge will determine starting turn order. Once said order is decided, the first pilot makes his or her move. Each move made must be reasonably executable within a time limit of six seconds. If the judge feels that you have gone over the time limit, your turn will be cut short. If you do not use the entire six seconds, your pilot will perform the last action taken repeatedly for the remainder of the round (i.e. running around, dodging fire, spamming missiles, etc). After the first pilot completes his/her move, the second pilot's turn begins, and he/she will make a six second post of his/her own. Bear in mind that both pilots' moves will occur within the same six seconds, and plan accordingly.
Feel free to use multiple attacks during a single turn, so long as you think you have enough time to execute them, and by all means, don't think you're limited to conventional means of attack. You're free to experiment with weird and wild strategies as you see fit, just be aware that they can backfire badly if you're not careful. And for God's sake, BE SPECIFIC. If you're not, it can only count against you. Learn to think in terms of meters and the relative ranges of your weapons; it'll aid you greatly later on.
After both pilots' turns are completed, the first "round" concludes with a post by the battle judge (in this case me), in which is posted a transcript of what actually happened within the six second span, including how much damage, if any, each Zoid took, if either combatant was CSF'd, any other relevant Zoid data, each pilot's position on the battlefield and his/her distance from the other Zoid, and finally the turn order for the next round (which will most always be the opposite of the turn order from last round).
This battle, between my character's two teammates, will serve as a example of the judge system in action.))
This is a battle, Class E, mode 0992, between Eli Leveth, piloting the Crystal Breaker, and Lauren, piloting the Zeek Saix BP, both unmodded.
The battlefield is flat wasteland terrain. Combatants will begin at a distance of 400 meters.

Much like a cheetah hunting on the African plains, Laurenās BP took off running, sprinting across the desert sand towards her opponent, Eli. The Crystal Breaker was such a huge, blue, target, there was no way she could miss it. Her blades snapped open as she quickly approached Eli, weaving in an out as to confuse her of where she was planning to attack. With Alloy claws extended, the BP lunged at the looming dinosaur's exposed neck, aiming to grapple itself into the Breaker's non-existent windpipe so she could hoist itself close enough to lash out with the it's teeth.

A smile was placed on the face of Team Corona's leader. Grey eyes traced the movements of the quickly approaching zoid like a hawk. The Crystal Breaker's pilot gingerly traced her zoid's controls, her hands dancing around the ones that control the massive shields of the blue terror.
Eli already knew she had no luck with attempting to out manuver such a dexterious zoid, so she held the defensive and prepped her zoid's shields. Raising them to ready on command.

Lauren starts off by charging Eli's Breaker, closing the distance and weaving in an attempt to confuse her opponent. The Breaker, meanwhile, stands its ground. Since only the Saix is actually moving, the charge itself takes up a lot of the round. The BP does complete its charge, however, and lunges at the Breaker's neck before being intercepted by the dino's right-side shield. The BP's claws sink into the shield, and it clings there, kind of dangling in the air by its front paws while trying to sink its teeth in as well, which doesn't quite work out, since biting down on a smooth, flat surface is kind of tough.
The round ends with Lauren hanging from Eli's shield by her claws, and Eli not really doing anything... yet.
-Damages-
Lauren- None to speak of.
Eli- Light, fairly insignificant damage to the right arm shield from the BP's claw attack.
-Positions-
Pilots are at melee range, with Lauren currently hanging from Eli's right shield.
Turn order- Eli, Lauren

Eli smiled at this, lightly giggling at how funny this turned out. It was like having a kittin dangling off your arm, she could just see it now.. a poster of her Breaker and the BP, and below it in wide font, Hang in their Baby.
"I think she's stuck.."
All laughter aside, Eli took this chance to swing her shield harshly into the ground with intentions of pegging Lauren there. With her thoughts still running, she activated her grappling claw's electric charge and sent them out towards the hopefully pegged BP.

Swinging her back legs up, Lauren dislodged herself from the Breaker's shield. Recovering quickly back on the sandy ground, the BP swiftly jumped to the blue Zoid's flank, blades still extended as she rounded Eli, scraping around the Breaker's massive legs before pouncing onto the base where the body and the tail met. Utilizing the BP's jaws, it lashed out it's teeth, hoping to rip out a few wires if it could get through the Breaker's thick armor.

Despite Eli's best efforts at making a cat-pancake out of the BP, Lauren does manage to manuever out of the way of the claw shield as it comes down. Mostly.
The quick downward momentum of the swinging claw throws off Lauren's jump slightly, but the BP does land on its feet, albeit awkwardly, about 10 meters away. The resulting pause in the Panther's action allows Eli to snag the cat with her Breaker's grappling claws.
While the strong shock of the claws hurts, and quite a bit, too, the BP is still capable of movement for the time being, and takes the opportunity to hack at the Breaker's left leg with its uncharged blades before going for the raptor's hindquarters.
The BP's teeth sink into the base of the Breaker's tail, and the big cat goes to town. Incidentally, the Breaker's tail joints are some of the only points on its body NOT covered by thick-a** armor, and the base just happens to be one of those joints. Nonetheless, the Breaker's tough base structure endures, and it's spared internal damage for the remainder of the round.
Meanwhile, Lauren has done nothing about the claws dangling from her behind, and they continue to fry the crap out of her Zoid.
So the round ends.
-Damages-
Lauren- Light-Heavy damage to the left flank from the claw attack, and moderate throughout the body from the shocking. Two more consecutive turns of shocking will result in CSF.
Eli- Light to right claw shield. Light-moderate to the armor on the left leg from the blade pass. Heavy-light damage to the structure at the base of the tail.
-Positions- Zoids at melee range. The BP is standing to the left of and slightly behind the Breaker, which still has its claws embedded in the BP.
Turn Order- Lauren, Eli
Continue.

With a yelp, the BP jumped back and up into the air, performing something similar to that of a high bar performer's flip, attempting to slice the cord connecting the claw in her backside to the Breaker's arm. Landing gracefully back onto the ground, she was off, attempting once again to pierce the dinosaur's neck with her claws and teeth.

As soon as the warnings started to flare up, Eli quickly initiated the retraction of her grappling claws in hopes of reeling in her catch. The quick jerk of the twisted steel cables should've been enough to throw that damn cat off balance. All the while, the electricity kept going.
The breaker's pilot didn't want to stay one-track, so with her free hand she prepared the rather large pincers to snag the BP in its grip as soon as it got close enough.

Unfortunately for Lauren, her attempted cat-gymnastics accomplish only two things. First, the flying, blades-extended leap only succeeds in getting the BP hopelessly tangled in the cables, the blades failing to cut through because of the lack of necessary momentum. Secondly, they put the BP off the ground at the crucial moment when Eli decided to pull in her claws. Thus, there was nothing stopping the big dino from reeling in its catch, and no way for the BP to fight back.
The result: The whole tangled, electrocuted mess gets yanked back and slammed straight into the shield claws, which proceed to crush the BP into little cat-chunks.
Tangled in cables, crushed in claws, and actively getting the crap shocked out of itself, the BP has pretty much no chance of escape. Struggling is futile. CSF is imminent. Therefore, I call this match in favor of...
The Winner: Eli Leveth, piloting Crystal Breaker.
