After a moment's thought, Ilistala nodded and skipped the rest of the way to the counter. "You're right, Lena," she said, placing the horendously slutty clothes on the countertop, "I think this shop is too fancy for you!" She giggled quietly at her own little joke. When the cashier had finished ringing up the clothes, Stala slid a small handful of gold across the counter to pay.
To better ease Elena's obvious discomfort in the shop, Ilistala hooked an arm around her friend's waist and led her out into the busy mall highway. She turned her head from side to side, trying to find another store to waist more money in. Her gaze traveled up brightly-lit signs advertising food, video games, more clothes...
"Hey!" Stala said suddenly, pointing her finger at a small salon sandwhiched between a matress store and a camera shop, "let's go get a haircut!"

Elena firmly clamped her mouth shut at Stala's pronouncement, making a mental note not to take the Shattered girl shopping where Elena got her clothes. Thankfully, they were quickly out of there after Stala paid, Elena content, for now, to follow her boisterous friend wherever she might lead.
Wait, back up. What? Hair? What was wrong with her hair? "What's wrong with my hair?" Elena asked defensively, eying this new storefront even more warily than she had the last.

Ilistala flapped a dismissive, albeit slightly condescending, hand in the air. "Nothing!" she reassured, tugging her friend in the direction of the nifty little salon. An congo line of soft blue lights arced over the store's sign: Shear Beauty, it said, seeming to follow the unwritten law that every barbershop and salon throw some kind of hair-related pun into their store's name.
Stala turned her fiery orange eyes up to the sign, a tiny smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "Come onnn," she coaxed, putting on her sweetest, most sugary smile, "it won't hurt, I promise! I don't wanna go in there all alone." After a moment's thought, she added quickly, "I'll pay!"

Elena continued to eye her friend suspiciously and grimaced slightly as the neon blue light washed over her as they stood outside. It made her look even more pale than normal, and just in general did not look good on her. Neon blue probably didn't complement many people, however.
"Fine, but I still don't think I need to have anything done with my hair," she replied reluctantly, taking the first step inside, tugging Stala along.
