It was a fine day to greet the morning, though it was saddening how much the beaming rays of the sun wanted him to melt, his dark coat eating them up like a treat to be ravished.
However, in luck, it was early enough in the day for him, that the sun was not yet hot enough for him to be driven back into a decent place of hiding from the heat.
There was nothing to do in his dutiless life, thus his day would start like most of his other days did; with a walk that had no real destination set out for him. Simply through the grass, a moving mass of black fur that would be seen from five thousand and seventy TWO miles away.
But.. it was nice. No parents looking over him protectively, no siblings trying to eat his ears. Though.. there was something.. lonely about it.

Not far from the young male lion's path, a larger lion lay in the grass. His bright markings down his back would act like a beacon in the bright sun. Lying on his stomach, the male lion was barely awake. His mismatched eyes halfway closed as he slowly waked. Blinking the sleep from his eyes, he gave a wide yawn and climbed to his feet. Seeming to grow out of the ground. Settling onto his hunches, he idily flicked an ear as he shook the dust and grass from his mane.

A beacon bright enough to send Ai's paw up to cover his eyes at the glint they received from the sun. So bright! It took a moment for his eyes to recover from a glint he'd received several times himself from the banding on his own leg, and even his own mother's markings, before he narrowed his eyes to try and look through the grass at what was the cause of such things.
Another dark being, at least.
Holding his head down to prevent the 'perfect sun angle' for blinding him, the Adolescent crawled through the grass before he was close enough to see this other shiney being.
A lion. Older at that.
"You're rather blinding." he stated, obviously devoid of manners from nearly being blinded.

"good morning to you to" Kajji snapped back as he yawned once again. Peering at the younger male, Kajji grinned. Blinking the last of the sleep from his eyes, he shook his mane once more. At least he didn't shake the rest of his body which would have surely blinded the younger male once more.

A rather miffed expression came over Ai's face at the snapping reply he received, before snorting a bit and looking off to one side. He seemed to leer off at the sun, cursing it for being that time of morning... just that once.
Ai, after finishing this strange action, looked back to the dark male, frowning a bit. "I take it you slept well then, stranger." since you're being such a grouch. Yeesh.
The adolescent sat up, averting his gaze from the golden-marked rogue (at least he would think so? He'd never seen the male before..) to prevent further blinding.
Yeesh.. why was he even talking to this weirdo?

Snorting sofltly, Kajji grinned even more so. It seems someone woke up on the wrong side of the grass this morning... Smirking lightly at his thought, he watched the young male curiously. "Indeed I did"

"It was rude of me to ruin such a lovely morning for you." Ai decided out loud, before laughing a bit, looking back to the dark stranger and quirking a brow.
"My name is Ai'kunliu.. I live out here. So I would hope my lack of manners does not reflect badly upon any others who may have, or will, meet out here." he said, almost as if his brain had jump-started into another being. It was strange how that happened to him so easily.
Sometimes he wondered if he was Bipolar or something.

"you did nothing to ruin the morning" Kajji replied as he idily flicked his tail. "So you too live out here? I have yet to see you around before." Shaking his head, he shifted his large bulk slightly.

Ai smiled a bit, seeming relieved that his atittude had been brushed off so non-chalantly, before turning his head to nod towards where he had came from. "Not so much right -here-, but moreso a ways over -there-." he explained.
He shrugged a bit following this statement. "There are many people I have yet to have met, and I would not hold it past many of them to have never seen me. I don't wander out this far very often as of late." It was a sort of vague explanation, but it worked for him.

Kajji nodded, understanding what the younger male had said. "I see, personally I'm from all over the place. I can never seem to stay in one spot any more." Flicking his tail, Kajji looked off into the distance.

Ai considered this stranger's lifestyle that he'd described for a moment, his expression twisting a bit. It seemed... so -strange- to him to say the least. "Really? No origin whatsoever?"
The adolescent thought on this for a minute, before shaking his head. "I don't think I'd be able to live like that." he decided. Truely, trying to be from 'everywhere' would be hard for him, when this was the only place he had -ever- been.

"Not that I know of but alas it is getting late in the day and I must bid ye adieu, young one" With that Kajji climbed to his feet, stretching out his muscles before grinning once more at the younger male. "Prehaps our paths will meet once more?" With that said, Kajji moved out into the open plains.

It was strange how short encounters were at times, but he wasn't expecting for this stranger to stay and chat away the morning with him. So nodding, Ai returned the farewell.
"Adieu, adieu. Perhaps they will, indeed." he chimed in reply, before turning to take his own leave back towards home. The day was early, and he would be needed, in the least.
