Recieving the look from Kyrin, Jaydn thought about ceasing his interference. But seeing as how Ian seemed to continue to say things that concerned him, Jaydn felt it his duty to respond. In addition, he was worried about how Kyrin would handle herself in this situation. She had calmed down but there was nothing to say that she wouldn't explode again soon. She was never expected to have to deal with this kind of crap. He wanted his cousin to succeed in being a good leader but wasn't sure how he could teach her to do so without hurting her pride.
As soon as Ian had started apologizing so abruptly after he exploded, Jaydn was instantly suspicious. No one switches tactics that quickly without being up to something. Jaydn raised an eyebrow at what Ian had said, "Forgive me but I find it rather hard to believe that you are the supposed 'brains' when you keep proving otherwise. It doesn't seem like you're even listening to anything that anyone else is saying. I don't believe Kyrin is asking you to return to your mafia. She just wants you out of her house. Simply enough. There are plenty of motels in town with a bed and shower you can stay in." You could stay in a trash bin for all I care. "Asking for help in tricking your mafia puts this household in danger and seeing as how I'll be staying here for the while, that puts me in danger." Jaydn narrowed his eyes slightly at Ian. "And I don't appreciate having my life threatened unnecessarily."

Ian's eyes started to wander off to the architecture of the building. Well so much for trying to appologize. Ian really didn't understand what this girl's problem was. He had found his wrongs and applogized for them. He honestly had. It was hard appologizing, especially for him. It did NOT make him happy that he had wasted his breath on trying to meet ends with her. All she could seem to do is find the faults in his statements and throw them back at him. What else did she want from him? He had appologized to her hadn't he? Did she want him to get down on his knees and beg her forgiveness? Can all she can do is argue? GOD. We have a problem I'm trying to fix it. I said that I was sorry. SORRY DAMN IT! What am I doing? This is still going nowhere. I was a fool for trying to ask her for help. Forget it. I'll need someone else's assistance then. Maybe Han's or the next heir's because she's just attacking me now. She won't even listen. Ian sighed. How many times had he sighed today? He wasn't sure...It didn't matter...He gave up. She wasn't helping and didn't' want to help. So he wasn't going to ask for it. "Listen...Jamie is smart. But not when it comes to his own safety. He's a complete idiot when that is concerned. It's not safe to let him do what he wants. I tryed that. I failed. He ended up in the hospital because I wasn't there to make sure he was eating right. He doesn't care about himself. I know that you don't feel comfortable about tricking my mafia. I don't either. But you see, it's either that or I take him back. I don't want your mafia to be killed. But either way it's a risky situation. We can't just leave it as it is right now. If he stays, they'll come after him. If I leave, they will shoot the information out of me. Those options won't work. I'm asking you to help me out in trying to find a solution to this problem. If fooling them isn't going to work, I'd like some good ideas. I'm asking your honest opinon. If you won't help me then that's okay. I'll find someone else who will help me. Han or the next heir if I must." Ian pulled at his left earring. A random habit that he did when he got tired of doing something. The earring was a butterfly. Jamie's 2nd anniversary present to him. He never took them off. Ever.

Jamie stood in the doorway, his head leaned against the frame of the door, his expression blank. "I care enough about my own safety to know that I would have died if I had stayed there, Ian." He murmured, loud enough for the other man to hear. He hadn't heard the entire conversation, but he heard enough to know that they were arguing over him, over his staying here. "I mean, I can leave if I'm that much of a problem, but I'm not going back there," he shook his head softly, sending brown strands across his face, too pale. He didn't care to be involved, and he didn't want to stay if he was a nuisance, or potentially dangerous.

Kyrin looked at James as he entered the conversation. Internally she sighed, Do they ever listen to anything that I say? I never wanted Jamie to leave, he's not causing the problem, its this other guy. Pushing her thoughts away, she choose to ignore what Ian had said last, she was tired of continuosly repeating herself to him and found it rather annoying that she was having to. Kyrin didn't say anything, she simply waited. She still wanted Ian to leave and her talking didn't seem to make it happen any faster, so she choose not to waste her words.

Ian jumped at the sound of Jamie's voice. He...he heard us?!?? That means...he...might have heard my confession and...and...ugh.. Ian turned to Jamie quietly. "I...I know...I would know more than anyone else...I want you to stay here...You'd be happy here." Ian looked down at the floor and continued in a whisper. "...But If I stayed here then there's no way that you'd be happy with me being around..."

Jamie's somber expression turned to a slight smirk. "If I heard you right about the feelings, love, then I might just be hapy with you here," he teased softly, stepping closer to Ian. He wasn't sure if he was ready to reciporicate Ian's feelings, though he had them himself, but if they didn't hate each other, he could be wonderful company. "I couldn't let you go back at this point. My dad would kill you for returning empty handed." He turned his piercing blue gaze to Kyrin, as if to ask for approval.

Kyrin listened to their exchange and she felt slightly that she was watching a bad soap opera, but since James was asking her, without actually voicing it, she began to wonder about Ian. She stared into James' eyes for a while before turning to Ian. As always, it seemed that James played a mediator roll in soothing Kyrin further, as she asked, "What could you do for my mafia?"

Ian felt a hot searing blush coming across his face. Damn...He really did hear me...eep. Looking away from Jamie so that Jamie couldn't see anymore of his blush, Ian turned to Kyrin. He was a bit shocked to hear the sudden change of heart from Kyrin, but he didn't question it. "Um..uh...Well, I might be bad at talking to people but I'm a brilliant strategist. I'm also good with numbers and accounts. I have a degree in foreign banking and accounting. Oh..and..um...I've been told that I'm an excellent cook?"

Jamie smiled again. "You are an excellent cook," he was more than happy that Ian was being given a chance. He wouldn't have wanted Ian's death on his hands in any way. Mentally, he thanked whatever power was up there that he had a calming effect on Kyrin, he hated to see them fight. It reminded him a bit too much of home, the yelling. Most of the memories had faded again, Jamie really didn't need more of them to spring up.

Kyrin raised an eyebrow at the cooking comments, she was quite partial to take out and didn't really care that Ian could cook, as it was, she didn't care that Nori could cook; she would hardly eat the things that either of them would make anyway. Kyrin had a momentary internal fight with herself, over whether she wanted Ian to stay around or not. In the end, Jamie's plee had won her over and she said, "Fine, you can stay." Its not to say that she was particularly happy with it. She gave both men one last look before wandering down the stairs and out of the house.

Ian blinked, shocked. Really??? He could stay?? Just like that? What had just happened here?? Shaking his head, he decided not to question it. He just hoped that Kyrin and him would be able to get along okay. Especially with him being around her all the time. She hadn't told him what his job was but he decided to ask that at a later time. Turning to Jamie, he gave him a shy smile and quickly left whispering to him as he passed. "Thanks. I don't know where this puts us but I owe you one."

"I think it puts us as friends. I don't really want to think about more yet," Jamie smiled, kissing Ian's cheek very briefly, sliding a skinny arm around his shoulders in a weak embrace. Sighing, he released Ian as quickly as he had taken, and thanked Kyrin for giving his friend this chance. Having Ian there, he knew, would only drag him deeper into the mafia lifestyle, if only to protect him, but, considering all this, he really didn't mind.
