"Bound" I can't imagine, what it's like living on the outside. Trapped within yourself and bound by chains that you put on. The self inflicted pain you feel is not worth the trouble; don't you realize the pointlessness of it all? I can only give you empathy because you refuse to listen to Reason that stands in front of you. Now you say goodbye, after letting light unto the burdens within your darkened mind and heart. Remember I am always your friend; anything can chage if you will it; chains may shed; there is always a sun at the end of the night; and I wait extending my hand. Please fight for freedom, friend. "Life and Love"
You can pull me from a wayward path. You can save me from any danger. You can love me for who I am. You can make me smile on the worst of days. You can reach any high or low that may befall me. I wish there is some way you could understand....
What could you or I do? Simply live.
Why is the sky blue? It changes for you.
How deep is an ocean? Never deeper than my heart.
Why do I cry? Happiness overcomes sorrow.
Why do I laugh? When you smile at me.
Why do I smile? When I see you.
Why do I love? I feel there is nothing deeper.
Why do I melt? In your arms, always.
Why do I fight? Because I would do anything for you.
Why do I die? I can't live without you.
Why do I live? To make you happy.
Why am I at peace? I am with you once again.
Why do I struggle? I chose to stand by your side.
Why am I silent? Words can't express emotion.
Why am I sad? I miss you every second of the day.
What if? There is nothing that I regret.
Why do I care? I need you.
Where and when? Anywhere at anytime I will be here for you.
Love me. That is but all I ask.

Perfection is something I will never achieve Love is just a long awaited dream Music is the sound of my soul Art is the color of my skin How you describe me is just a label Your gaze reflects your heart your absence represents my sorrow Priceless is the time we have together

No one says I have to have it your way Love is an emotion that sometimes is not present What I do is just something that makes me happy Society is something I don't conform to I can have my cake and eat it too Who decides what is right and wrong?

Silent streams roll down my cheek I feel dizzy and weak My body shakes with fear Oh dear, oh dear Hands clasped in desperation Hesitation and exhalation Eyes screaming silently for help Realization just runs so deep My mind races but I can't rise to my feet I want to run How am I to handle this twist Holding m breath and clenching my fist

My fingers intertwine in yours, as I accept your offered hand, being pulled up and into your chest as you easily help me to my feet from the couch in our living room. Soft music plays from the stereo system on the glass table next to the fung shui candle and rock set and the fountain by the bay window. I stepped on the soft white carpet and I lift a hand to settle on your shoulder. My blue eyes meeting your gaze and a smile playing at the corners of my mouth, blushing full cheeks and my soft blond tendrils draping over my shoulder. Wearing a simple white dress with a flowing skirt matched your well dressed stature, in a button down shirt with the top button undone, your black dress pants and black stocked feet.
Your hand finds it's place on the small of my back and I felt the small distance between us disappear. I kept glancing down but your reassuring smile told me that there was nothing to be insecure about. Your mouth shaped the gentle words, your directions on which way to move and to let the music take me.
It was becoming dark outside, the night wrapped itself around the Earth and stars were gleaming in the distance, billions of miles away from our home. Novas exploding with light that we admired and reflecting their images centuries after the actual occurrence.
It was just another night, another fantasy, another story of any other day.

An excerpt from a roleplay
Some time later Gaia awoke to a sound, it was late and Aeronwy had been tucked in bed for hours, Primus had also fallen asleep after their romantic evening and she was lying naked in bed. The sound broke the silence of the night again, and she knew it wasn't a dream. Creeping out of bed, making no sound, she clothed herself in a robe that was presented to her some time ago, after her wedding. Celestial blue, made from the softes material, worn properly it's sleeves started at mid-arm, and exposed her neck, shoulders, and some cleavage. She tied it in place quickly not having much of anything else in her reach that could be more appropiate and quick to put on. After exiting the room she hesitated to hear her child's breathing before decending the stairs, outside her room the knock was now distinguishable and echoed down the massive halls of the water palace. Flying to the door she opened hastily, knowing no one would visit at these hours unless it was urgent.
She looked upon the being before her eyes, she was unaware of how fire servants would be able to survive the massive seas without drowning or hypothermia, because of their high body temperature. "Come in, I assume a message from the fire lord?" Her voice seemed to either hurt the creature, or the fact she was speaking to it, a powerful prime as though speaking to a friend. It hesitated, clearly being uncomfortable, but entered anyways.
"A young white haired being appeared in the western lands, it will encroach upon the earth temple and soon to the water palace. Our lord has sent me to you to warn you of the dangers, battalions have gathered in the false pretenses of fighting for equality. It is feared that the child is endangered and defenses need to be strengthened. War is upon us."
Gaia found herself tossing the news inside her head, Primus had assurred her nothing was wrong, that rumors of war were not true.
"Did you travel to the Earth Temple?"
"Yes, the being left it's mark, I did my best to go unnoticed."
"Did Pyros say anything else about what should happen?"
The creature flinched at the informality of his lord's name being mentioned. "I was to warn you of this being as a threat, and to tell you to safeguard your family and lands. That is all."
"What is happening in the Fire Lands?"
"Our lord and lady left for Hades, leaving a man named X in charge, he aided in the protection from Zero, the white haired being. He is no longer a foe. Our lord will fight Hades, and our lady will be his second."
"Is the fire lands safe?"
"I am not aware if anywhere will be safe for long."
"Tell X that I will be traveling alone, to my temple, that if anything happens we rondevou at the Land of Winds. My best wishes to you and your masters."
The creature disappeared to let itself out, she headed up the stairs silently to Aeronwy's room. Her figure sprawled out on her bed with her chest rising and falling steadily. Gaia kissed her forehead,
"May you be protected by all, and only with my life taken shall you ever fall. Live in peace for you will rise above in times of strife, my little river goddess. I love you."
Hurriedly she made it to the armory, her heart was beating fast but she ignored the sense of danger approaching. If her lands had been breached then the warning from her husband meant that time was of the essence. It was this morning that she had left with Aeronwy, meaning she escaped. Primus had tried to keep her ignorant, so she would not be put into harm's way.
Gaia left, fully dressed for battle, a precaution of what she would find. She scrawled a note for her husband and left it where it would not be found by their adventerous daughter.
"My love,
Keep our daughter safe, the Earth Temple was breached as well as the Fire Temple. There is an army rising and Zero, a white haired young man is leading. Pyros is scheduled for a match with the devil himself, Lilith as his second leaving X in charge. We rondevou at the Land of Winds with mother and the others. I become a protectress today, and my beasts will be my army.
I love you and I will return safely."
Treking towards the exit she realized that she would need to be expiditious in her journey. Instead of leaving though a main door she slipped out the side and searched for a whale, serpent, or dolphin that would ride her to safety. Upon finding a sea dragon she escaped to shore. When Primus would find the letter he would possibly go after her but would never leave their daughter in any danger.
At shore she ran away from the beach, calling for an animal for aide.
"Creatures of the Earth we must defend our home."
Birds were flocking overhead and a rumble slowly became thunderous. The earth shook and dust flew. She called for an army of stone and any beast that could fight. Continuing to run she found the source of the noise, centaurs, horses, pagasus, bears, stags, wolves, and other untamed beasts were answering her calls.
It was to no surprise that she was lifted into the air with the first wave of her new army, riding a centaur at break neck speed. He was an archer and she took from him his set.
"My lady," he spoke in a deep voice, "we are glad to have you and serve for you."
"It is not me you fight for, it is yourselves and your offspring. I am not your master."
"Then you will ride with us, for you are our mother goddess. We have been awaiting your return, the disturbance was great but what they sought was not found."
"Take me to the source, we ride to defend what they are searching for."
Wind whipped her face, stinging her eyes and making her ears roar. Trees were restless and even the mountains moved. She began to strategize.
During the journey towards her home lands twilight had fallen. During this time she was surrounded by beasts that had sworn to defend and protect her, because that hour was any enemy's advantage point- and losing was not an option. She slept soundly after being overcome by mortality, and awoke as the sun was rising. She felt like she had slept ages and dreamt about personal aspects of her life and she hoped that the dream was true.
Everyone stopped sometime during mid-morning for a quick rest to replentish their strength. They would all have enough supplies to last after they were at the Earth temple. She imagined every creature in battle, some weilding swords, others wearing armour, and the rest fighting with teeth and claws. It seemed to her, that if there was battle, it would be marked in history. For as long as Gaia had been alive, any sort of conflict that had arisen, never once had she actually gone to battle or handled an army such as the force surrounding her. The thought of not every beast or creature making it out alive was an unbearable thought. She had to ask herself if this was right, but then she thought of her family, the daughter that had so much life ahead of her, and knew she had to make such decisions. Her child was the first born after the ice age, blessed by Hitotsu and Annjuline themselves, and there must be reason for her life. Aeronwy would be a great neo-goddess.
She thought of addressing the army at present, but thought against it. She would be heard on the home front, dressed in armor of the elves and swords of the greatest blacksmiths of all, Centaurs would aide in directing them through the best path, and utilizing all of her resources she would be a force to be reconed with. First, she needed leaders, the best of each species in knowledge and strength. Only through careful strategy would she ever win. An immortal battle was the deadliest of all.
"Let us make our way to the Earth Temple!" She called, her voice echoing through the army to the very back of the flanks. Even though she had not instructed them on proper marching, they had organized themselves. Truely a sign.
Gaia walked towards the centaur that had carried her this far, "Argon, I will ride another, you need rest."
"My Lady, it is an honor to have you ride me, I see no other as able as I am." He said with a bow; centaurs had never bowed to anyone, and it was unthinkable to had such a proud being be ridden like a horse.
"Very well." She was again picked up and set on the back of the noble creature, holding on tightly for safety. "I am thinking of sending a group to the mountains, keeping a few groups in the forest, letting a small groups go to different lands and keeping a majority with me to play the field."
"Our numbers are great, a proper defense needs a proper offense. The Fire Lands seem to be a good choice in allies, I am sure of the same with both water and wind."
"Do you believe that they are searching for my daughter?"
"It seems that might be a possibility. They went from the Earth Lands to the Seas, if they were after you they would have already found us. The Water Lord does not seem to be their interest other than permenantly removing him.
Most likely your daughter is viewed as a pawn. It is my belief that they will capture her and use her to win over the forces of two elements and take the advantage."
"By now Primus would have noticed that I am missing, I need the council of the Primes. Although Pyros has gone off to fight Hades leaving someone in his stead, Augusta was stripped of her titles and my husband is keeping our daughter safe. Annjuline is a peace keeper, and I am unaware of Hitotsu."
"We will send a message to the Fire Lands, we will meet with them and ask them to find the others. It is clearly the best point of action."
Gaia quieted, thinking of the ideas running through her head. Primus would not want her to fight but would understand if she had to. Her daughter would need someone to protect her, but would she be stubborn and run off to help? She imagined the greatness of a combined army of all the elements, which made a crease in her brow and a frown plaster across her face.
Even if victory would be assured, it would be a battle which would only end in loss.
Gaia and her myriad warrior earth beings made it to the temple with good timing, it took less than a day and a half which probably was to the thanks of the centaur she was riding upon and the compelling need to reach her lands and the base of their attacks, where they would plan an intricate and detailed plot to overthrow the armies of the enemies and claim victory, with hopefully little loss.
"Argon you will be in charge of appointing the proper leaders for our army. I want the most capable for their duties. Do not rely on strength alone, but intelligence as well." The centaur bowed, his left hooved leg bending and his body lowering a bit before coming back up. "I will survery the damage and count our losses."
"Single file! Seperate yourselves between hooved beasts, felines, canines, forest and mountain, and winged creatures. Now!" There wasn't much movement, mostly everyone was in the right order, it seemed they were all prepared before she arrived, a good judgement to think that he had organized them himself. She stepped inside as Argon was shouting to the multitude what orders were.
Her temple was entered, the place was not ransacked, it had been a stealthy mission and only small traces were left behind. Walking down the vast hallways towards the armory she found it untouched, as well as the rest of the temple. She went to her own study and found that they had gone through her papers with dirty hands, the same with her husband's desk. She frowned, there was nothing in the study that had any information for them to really use. Nothing was taken either, teh valuable items that her husband brought home as well as their gifts were untouched, the pen on the desk fetched easily a few thousand gold coins, and if she counted what everything cost as a whole a person could possibly feed an army for a few weeks if they had taken the valuables. They weren't here for money, armory, or anything to aide their armies directly, but how about cause? She searched up and down, through every desk, making a mental inventory. Finally she glanced up, looking out the window for the position of the sun to figure how much time they had before nightfall. It came to a shock:
The picture. The picture of their family, Aeronwy's friend, and Araian's father. She let out a low gutteral noise, they were after her family. She ran to her daughter's room and found that nothing had been touched. Would all they need is a picture? Would they have taken clothing to find her scent? Why?
She ran from the room, her motherly instincts raging. She didn't bother to think abou anything but her own family, neglecting the possibility of someone else possibly being in danger. She walked outside to find a smaller army before her. Argon had finished all he needed to and everyone seemed ready with armour and weapons.
"I sent a few groups to search for any enemy parties, they each have three leaders and a handful of capable messengers. If they were attacked or found something they would have a great chance of at least bringing back information. There are also groups in the woods, and a group took to the skies to follow your family. All we do now is hope, and press forward. Where to?" Argon said, there were leaders at the head of every squad, and a supirior over every ten squads, and a general over every fifty. She was thankful for such a wonderful advisor, and being a centaur helped immensly.
"Fire lands. Our first message would already be there. We will send a second telling of our movement. We shall be there before nightfall tomorrow. I need a fast messenger to get word to X, and hopefully Pyros, to make ready to recieve us."
"Liffet! Front!" The person named Liffet hurried forward, she looked like a young girl at first, but she realized she was a special type of changling.
"Sir?"
Aron did not take paper and scrawl anything down, instead he said politely. "I will need you to get to the fire lands, to the temple, and the person in charge. X or Pyros, and tell them that the Earth Mother will be arriving with a large amount of guests. To be ready to recieve her before tomorrow's nightfall. You shall be there by first light to give proper timing."
"Yes Sir." She looked oddly familiar with vines weaving through her hair and a few roses blooming from her. She walked into the woods and changed, Gaia heard the clothing fall to the ground from her body.
"Do you ever wonder where those precious ice roses disappear to? She was born from the buds of the first yield, but cannot wander far from her precious blooms so instead she takes them with her. A fascinating young woman, and a very unique story. Surviving anything as long as she has her blooms, and can hide easily since she shrinks to an unimaginable small size. Only few know of her, there are few more but it takes a long time to birth such a faye." Gaia smiles, she knew that she had put quite a lot of effort in her unique species of flora, and to find that it brought forth new life made her smile brighter. She wondered if all she created birthed a being so special, and knew it must be so if all of her kingdom called her 'earth mother'.
"Small, but probably faster than a hummingbird's beat." She stated.
"They must be fast, since they only willingly show themselves. I wouldn't want to be on the recieving end of the mischief she could provoke." Argon said with a slight laugh, maybe he had experienced the little pixie's curiosity.
Gaia smiled again, thinking of what her daughter would say. Or did she know? Oft she would sit by the gardens and speak to herself. A smart girl, she had no doubt if she didn't know then she would show her.
"Is everything ready?"
"If you are ready we leave immediately, she needs no head start."
"We leave." As she said her answer Argon had already motioned for the troop to move and had again picked her up to let her ride.
Some time after they left, as twilight was soon upon her, he said. "Have you noticed the trees?"
Gaia looked, and smiled, it seemed as if everything was moving, but so fast that she did not realize at first.
"Even the trees seem to be aware."
"Since they are the oldest and wisest, they are the first to know everything. If you could uproot them, and know their language, you would be told of stories of everything they have heard, seen, felt, and experienced. Out of the many that live and the few who have passed I have learned much from them."
"Argon, how old are you?"
"Only the stars of time know. My destiny is an intricately woven thing and it's mystical truths is arcane knowledge to most. Soon you will learn, and your sons and daughters after you."
She nodded, and somehow he knew everything of which she thought and understood.
Twilight came.
Gaia remembered a memory, not so long ago, when Aeronwy was only a few months old. She was a curious child and have many deep thoughts, asking questions that normally would not be asked at all, or when children were older. It was a day when her father was out, and she was asked to stay until her daughter fell asleep, after her bedtime stories were over.
"Mommy, why am I Aeronwy, how did I come to be named such? Was it destiny that I was to be named? Does a name make me who I am?"
"My little flower, some say that a supreme God made you, some say you are a combination of the love Daddy and I share. Many people believe many things, but you should think for yourself. Whether the stars were aligned that day you were concieved that tolf of why and when you were born, weaving an intricate tale of what your life would be, I do not know. If you ask Daddy, he will say he named you. Your birth was a miracle and brought to us many things we could not have without you. I think the river named you, the sea and earth molded you, and you decided who you were in a hidden depth of water, safe within it's walls."
"Rivers don't have walls."
"No, they have beds, but the hidden water I speak of resided in me, and helped you to grow."
"I was born of water?"
"Yes, of the water you were birthed, of the water you decided to stay."
"So when I was not born, I decided to be Aeronwy, the river goddess?"
"Precisely."
"Mommy?"
"Yes?"
"I think I understand now. I chose my own destiny, I choose who I am, and what I become, although sometimes it doesn't seem that way. Sometimes we don't know ourselves what we are deciding for our futures, but we do what we believe is right."
"That no one makes you, you."
Aeronwy fell asleep in her lap soon after, and Gaia never mentioned the conversation that she had with Aeronwy.
The sun was low in the sky but the temperatures were outrageous. Since the fire lands were located on valcanic earth there was no relief even after the sun would set. Her troops were drenched in sweat and on some, patches of fur were missing. Water was scarce and everyone was with thirst. Gaia had asked Argon to put her down to walk before they crossed into Pyros' territory. Now the strong and able centaur was looking hot, although taking the situation rather well. No one had taken off their armour, no one had strayed, they continued in their organized movements even though Gaia knew the close proximity to one another made the heat seem to rise.
"We are close to the gates, we will be there ahead of schedule. Press on, we have less than an hour to go."
Out of the steamy volcanic, poisonous air, stepped dozens of troops from the Fire kingdom. Gaia stepped forward, so did Argon.
"We are here to meet you, we are your escort through the rest of your journey. We have enough water for each of you to have one drink."
The fire army weaved through the crowd, the water had helped with everyone's strength and Gaia was relieved, although she did not take any for herself- neither did Argon. The leader of the small troop guided everyone, and the fire troops fell one in line with every squad of her own. Their unifoms were black and red with gold emblems of the Fire kingdom.
At the gate, Gaia had looked for Liffet. She had gotten the message across, but was she okay? She was supposed to wait for them. A tiny noise came to her ear, and she realize Liffet was in her smaller form. She rested on Gaia's shoulders. She had intended of asking Liffet about her journey but the General spoke first.
"I will see to your men getting what they need. You will be immediately recieved by Our Lord's chosen director. You may take one of your choice. We will see you to the main chambers."
Argon stepped forward and Liffet flew off her shoulder, "go to my chambers and wait there. I will see the rest of you as soon as I may."
The guards took Gaia and Argon straight to the chambers.
"Lady Earth and Argon of Centaurs is here to see Lord X." They had been announced, and they waited for a response.

Celyna arose from the feathered mattress silently as she awoke from her dreams. Her eyes fluttering open and a deep inhalation of oxygen filled her lungs with the sweet aroma of morning. Throwing back her soft, cotton blankets and wrapping herself in a simple but elegant robe of silk that hid her nakedness. Bare feet lightly stepping across the dark hardwood floor, she traveled out into the garden to watch the sun rise at an extremely early hour of day. The air outside was a crisp chill and the hairs on her arms rose with little bumps of flesh showing. Her cheeks were a light pink and her lips looked rosy with a dark underlying tint of blue, her pale skin looking extremely soft and delicate. Crystalline blue eyes gazed at the night sky escaping from the light of day. The royal to midnight blue faded into white and grey, stars were beginning to sleep as the vibrant yellows and reds filled the magnificent sky in painted textures that the sun provoked as it awoke from the endless night. The bright yellow sphere broke the dawn and emerged the new day forthcoming would be another great one to experience the life that the earth mother created. Crickets were chirping their sweet songs and the wind invoked the trees to stir and whisper, sharing the news of the glorious wonders that they have seen for countless years. Fledglings cheeped for their mother's pureed meal as she sets off to hunt for the young that rely on her to survive. Grass and leaves swayed to the breeze. All of which she took in by her senses mirrored her soul. The ageless world of which she encountered sparked her into action, and each experience would be painted on her heart to be remembered for as long as time would give her in this realm. She stood in this beauty for what seemed like a second, but when she finally stepped back inside it was well into the morning, the sun had rose and the night had faded long ago. Rays of sunshine peeked through the windows with parted curtains and settled on the floor like no other picture could detail. Rummaging around the kitchen she lit her stove and cooked a simple meal of oats, egg, and toast with a side of fruit and her morning chamomile tea. Mozart, Beethoven, and many other composer's music was being played by various symphonies that have perfected the melody that now filled the rooms of her home and escaped under the cracks of doors and any other cranny that sound could only find.

A feeling deep within himself caused her to stop mid-step. Grasping his chest he winced. Tears began streaming down his cheeks and he gasped, fighting for breath. His screams were silent, and the echo of his body slamming into the floor could be heard as a thump, his necklaces chimed and a crack from his skull breaking onto the stone floors. It was a melancholic song, and a tragic dance. His eyes were closed, he was in a state of shock and a battle within herself raged. It felt as if he was on fire, as if he was failing at the attempt to crawl out of an abyss. His breathing was labored and his heart pounded against his ribcage at a rapid pace that could only mean one thing- cardiac arrest. His entire body was tense, as if bracing himself to be thrown from one side of the room to the other repeatedly, or a blow to his stomach that he was anticipating from the raging storm that could only be named as his lover. -+-
"No!" A blond woman fighting the arms of her captor and attempting in any means necessary to come to his aide. She was crying, throwing herself forward just to be jerked backwards, sometimes landing against a wall or piece of furniture, other times making contact with a shoulder or face belonging to the man holding her firmly. Bruises were all over her body, she was determined and the adrenaline pumping through her made her stronger, ten times more difficult to handle. The guard also looked beat-up. His nose was broken from where she had made contact with her skull, his finger was broken in manhandling, and had scrapes and bruises from her flailing and other acts of violence so she may defend her friend.
The b***h responsible for all of this was also screaming. Spitting in her face, taunting her, kicking the body that was barely alive around like a bag of garbage. It made her sick, angry, and more determined to fight this war.

An Introduction of Sorts....
-+- There was no sound, no stir, no gentle breeze, just darkness. The feeling of leaves being crushed and moved beneath her bare feet. It was a new moon tonight. Silver clouds could barely be seen within the blackness of the night that seemed to never end. The air was thin, dry, and smelled strongly of dust, parched dry dirt, winter, and bonfires.
Her watch read 3:21 AM. She had slipped quietly out of the back door while her family slept. The kitchen and lamp still brightly shone but past the backyard sliding glass doors it seemed to be stopped, no light shone through but a glow from the inside still remained.
Ever present night.
She was still in her clothes from earlier this evening. It was bitter cold outside, possibly 20 degrees. She reminded herself that it was winter, and in the desert it did get cold. The cold burning sensation pricked the pads of her feet, soft and smoothe. Soon her feet met asphalt, it looked like a black sea in the midst of a suburban neighborhood. She wished it was the ocean, her home.
The wind picked up, leaves began to rustle, her hair was whipped into her face. Her cheeks stung from the cold, the hairs on the back of her neck and arms stood up. She shivered as the sensation of her body preserving body heat rushed over her.
She ran a good quater mile before her body started aching. Her lungs hurt especially and her breathing was fast paced. "We aren't in Kansas anymore....well...Florida." She thought. New Mexico had mountains, valleys, hills, higher elevation, comepletely different climate, and especially no humidity or rain. To say the least, she was out of her habitat.
She slowed, no time for another asthma attack. It wasn't like she had anywhere to go, no time constraints, nothing. Everyone would start to wake after 6 AM for school and work, when she would be in bed sleeping the morning away. Traveling up the curved road on the sidewalk, passing palm trees, cacti, brick houses, graveled front yards and gates- a dog began to bark. It didn't seem to wake anyone in the area and she was not about to stop, or turn around. After passing the second street she stopped in a area not lit by street posts or disturbed by barking dogs or cars and took a deep breath, closed her eyes and imagined the ocean.
She was standing on a cliffside, waves the size of buildings crashing against the rock, making saltwater spray her face and a booming roar. Standing a few feet away from the edge, she knew not to get too close or she could accidentally fall off the cliff and mostlikely drown if she survived the fall. Imagining instead of how treacherous the sea could be, she imagined being a mermaid, a fish, a dolphin, or leviathan and swimming with the currents, exploring grottos, seaweed beds, coral reefs and observing how amazing the sea could be.
A car whizzed by, whipping her hair in the direction it had sped in. It was a 25 MPH zone, but the car had to be going at least 60, it had been swerving and another 15 inches it would have struck and killed her. At 3:38 AM weren't cops supposed to be patroling neighborhoods and stopping drunk driver's? When would people learn that it could only damage themselves of another life? It could completely alter many lives because of a destructive decision to operate vehicles while inebriated?
People were ignorant and stupid, and nowadays people never considered others but fought for their own gains and would go so far as to betray a brother or child just to gain power or money. Greed. Social Darwinism. Karma. No deed goes unpunished, even if that deed is a good one. She hoped that fate would deal her a good hand and give a little mercy and a little opportunity so she may have a good future, and for others to find the same fortune.
She walked, after a good ten or fifteen minutes she had journeyed to the closest thing to being surrounded by nature in a city such as this: the park.
Of course she knew that predators of every kind were out at night, but she always stayed aware to her situations, she also made sure to explore enough to know which places were best for hiding, shortcuts, and easy dashes to safety. As long as she maintained awareness she was sure she would be fine.
Another gust carried away yellowish orange leaves in a dust devil. During the day, they were fun to chase. She smiled, sitting down on a swing and began to rock her body back and forth in the seat to gain momentum. With little effort and no time at all she was as high as she could go in the confines of her steel playground and enjoyed the motion and the feeling she got every time she would swing. Freedom. Flight. Open Endless Sky. Adventure.
An hour later, the young blonde woman was home, locking down the house and climbing into the comforter that would keep her warm until her wake, her fat black and white cat laid out near her knees keeping her company through the night.
