Unfortunately I am very busy with my new job, but I figure that we have some skilled individuals here who might need a (fairly) easy buck.

Art-fags,
I'm Brendan Peveril, an associate of Dr. V. I'm a writer. Among other things I write comics. My problem, that some of you could help me to solve, is that I can't draw, at all.
One comic that I write is A Deeper Shade of Gone. Gone is a series of dark sci-fi and fantasy stories, varying in length (4-10 pages) and generally not connected to each other. I'm willing to pay 15$/page for now to any artists who are willing to draw a story for me. It's not a lot, but I haven't seen a dime for this yet and I'll raise the pagerate when I can. I'm open to whatever style and skill level you can show me.
I don't actually have anything up for Gone yet beyond a teaser image here:

Keep an eye on my page for progress if you want to see how things pan out and email me if you're interested in making a little bit of money and getting some exposure.
I'm also writing another comic, Not as Much Fun (that's a tentative title). It's a shoujo dating type story about the aftermath of a relationship, written with big sparse manga type panels. I'm offering a reasonably reliable artist (I want to start out at two pages/week, and we'll try to keep at least 4-6 pages ahead so if you get sick or busy for a week it's not a big deal. We'll stick to strict black and white too to keep the work load down now and the publishing costs down later. I'm looking for a partner on this one, not a work for hire. You'll get nothing up front, but 50% of everything down the road. I'm picturing this thing in a pseudo-manga style, like Megatokyo or Scott Pilgrim.
If neither of these turn your crank but you think that you might be interested in working with me, email me with a portfolio and perhaps I'll write something specifically for you and your style.

I hope you don't find it inappropriate that I'm soliciting in the guild, but this guy is a friend, and I thought I'd help him out.
