Using the Power of Commons Welcome to my guide. Now I will teach you as to how you can use the power of common items to your utmost benefit. Definition "Commons" is defined as the items which are ready available in Gaia's item shops. Their prices are stagnant and does not inflate for the item shops regulate them. Because, why buy them at a higher price when they can be sold in shops at a much lower price? However, you can use this stagnant price to your benefit. Although slow, a regular exchange shop can earn you tons in the long run.

Requirements Perhaps you already have an idea as to how this works. You can have a pretty clear view about it when you look at the Gaia Exchange Forum. Exchangers not onlye deal with inflating collectible items but with commons as well. However for you to be able to fulfill this. You have to have the following requirements.
Requirements:
arrow A Vending License. You need this to be able to sell your commons in the marketplace.
arrow Lots of Gaia Time or at least regularly logging on. You need this to look after your shop. The more you log in, the more chances you can buy and sell.
arrow A steady amount of gold as funds. You WILL need funds. Have at least 1k-10k with you.
arrow Patience. The earning will be slow and the gold earned will not be too high. The key here is money circulation. You et your gold back but with profit.

Making a Commons Shop
exclaim Click "Post New Topic" in the Gaia Exchange Forum. It is better to a have your shop in the main forum of the exchange than the Wanted forum or any other. So I suggest having something to sell. Like some of your old collectible items so your thread won't be banished to another subforum. You don't really need to sell it. Just have them posted in your selling category. But emphasize you don't need to sell them if you don't like the offer. Also, it is not wise to sell any item, common or not in the exchange. For people will haggle down your prices. You just need to be in the main forum to get attention.
exclaim In making a shop, you need to have rules. The most important rule you need to set is to buy commons from users at 50%-80% store price. You can choose from the range I gave you but lower than 50% would be too low for item shops buy items at 50% and higher than 80% would be too high for you will also sell them in the marketplace at about 90%-95% off store price. So think about it.
exclaim Have a selling category and keep your funds intact. Tell them which items you can and cannot buy. For example, you can't buy fairy wings, which is a common if you only have 10k. So emphasize you only have 10k. so sellers won't be confused. But it is best you keep buying low priced to moderately priced commons. You'll get more from it and will help your shop stay active.
exclaim Sell the goods in the marketplace. Sell them at 1g-2g lower than store price. You can visit www.tektek.org to check on the store prices on the items list. You don't need to lower your price too much to compete with other vendors for your commons WILL sell so long as it is lower than the item shop price.
exclaim BONUS: Hold a bumping contest or any other randomness that will keep your shop alive and the customers coming. But since investment will be needed to give out prizes, you have the option to do it or not depending on your gold status. Perhaps you can just chat and invite friends and fellow Xagada members to your shop. ^^
