That 1 Guy is a bassist that felt that the upright was too limiting for him to express himself bass-wise. So what did he do? He made his own bass-like musical instrument. The Magic Pipe.

Heh, it's two big pipes attached at the end with a bunch of buttons on it. Each pipe has one string on it. Depending on the preset buttons he has on the pipes, they make a different sound.
It ranges from a string quartet to scat words.

Speaking of tolerance...a negative comment is just as valid as a positive one, why would you post a new topic about it unless you were looking for someone else's input? Myself, I don't see the appeal of it either, it's neat little gimmick but nothing incredible.
