In the game do you ever get sidetraccked... like majorly??
Example.
Goal. To level Ranger to 37 and you get it to 20, start farming, end up farming for 3 weeks becoming major rich but forget about ur rng by the time u need it ! D:

All the time, I always sit there and plan things like:
Okay, today we shall get Woodworking or cooking to level 40. Ready? -does a /sea in her level range- A tank, let's pt! x3

only thing that distracts me lvling blm is meriting with freinds, sky, and the fact I finnally have enough gil to raise a craft.

Yes, it has happened to me. I tried to get rdm up to 50, but got it to 43, then started to level blm (idk why...) and i've gotten it from 22 to 39 in a few weeks.

its just the way things go, i want to lvl my sub blm to 37 befor i continue lvling whm, no wait, how bout blu to 30 and then change my mind and do summoner which im curently working on so i can lvl whm again. cant help it. none of us can.

Omg >.> I always(and i mean always) end up leveling one job and and a few levels later or so switch to another job... I can't stick to one job... and none of my characters are above level 55(bst is really close though).
I mean someone with my time can't level too far but with my current situtation... 43 drg, 51 blm, 53 bst, 33 smn,39 whm(i stopped... looking at the hp bar so that my party doesn't fall below yellow makes me sleepy), thf 25, war 25, nin 21, rng 20... I mean i should at least get 1 job near 75 before the rest... >.< but i just cant do that. gonk

I recently made a character on midgar to play with a forum freind of mine. It's really been distracting me from exping my blm cause I wanna be with him whenever possible. I'm hoping to take that char to lvl 10, finish blm, merit the teir II AM, then exp my mithra on midgar, because who can possibly give up exping with freinds who you've known for ages but havn't played with yet?

ADD... oh, I have that in real life so imagine what my gaming is like. This is why at level 30 I got the BRILLIANT idea to head into Ghelsba Outpost, go as far to the top of the hill as I could, whacked an Orc and then ran for the zone all the way back at the bottom of the hill where everyone is farming logs. Did I mention that I'm a white mage? By the time I got back, I was laughing so hard I had nearly fallen out of my chair and my radar was a solid red.
YET I DIDN'T DIE.
WOO!
Oh, and there is a reason that I only have BLM up to 30, WHM to 65, and everything else is around level 5 or so.
Yeah.. my WHM Artifact Armor.. the main body peice.. I still don't have it. I suck.
And proof postitive that I have ADD... this post.
