It's completely out of order. I went for a five minute drive (essential drive) and nearly got blown off the face of the earth. I saw (in the space of five minutes) three huge trees blocking the roads, one lamp post crushed under a tree and a car crushed under a lorry that had been blown over (yes that's right, A LORRY).

And, one of my friends phoned about an hour ago now to tell me of his near death experience, his was in Uni (Stafford, I think) and the roof came off and smashed all the windows in and 7 people had to be rushed to Hospital

I posted this someplace else but felt this new unfolding drama needed it's own thread. Share your experiences

went out today to survey the damage and the place is totally trashed. We've lost virtually all the wooden fence, a trelis surrounding with roses (therefore roots) and held into place with concrete 2feet down has been ripped up (not broken, ripped). And a sixty foot tree which has been there since before the house has been blown down, landing directly ontop of the summer house.

In the local area so far they've cleared up 100 top priority trees (ie, the one son the roads). Ten people in the country have been killed so far

crying

Wind is a vicious thing, when it wants to be. I'm sorry to hear such bad news, its windy here, but probably not as windy as you described where you are, but it is bitter cold outside right now, lets hope mother nature will be nice to us soon.

Woah. eek

Um. Our weather here is good.
Nice 60 degree farenheit weather. But it's gonna rain and that makes me sad. >__> -needs outdoors on Saturday for early New Years celebration at saturday school-
But it beats deadly winds tenfold.
