"You never know...." Kai replied as he looked down at her. He wondered if she was this friendly with everyone she met. "....you may see me at that meadow....." he replied with a grin.

Sapphire pulled back again and clapped her paws together. "Our meadow!" She squealed with delight. She had never connected with someone like this before, not a male anyway. Her only other friends were Shakarri and Vira. Tulio wasn't the same as Kai either. She realised suddenly how forward she must have seemed and blushed a deep red. "U-uh... I guess... I better head home..."

Sapphire turned to walk away, a strange feeling in her stomach. She didn't want to leave without him... Her home would seem very empty and lonely... She looked up at the stars as she slowly walked away. She hoped she'd see Kai again soon....

Kai watched Sapphire leave before he turned to go. He slowly walked back into the dark woods to his destination.
