I just felt my little girl kick for the first time! I've felt her moving around before but this is the first time I've definately known for sure it was a kick. It was amazing! I was listening to "Passion of Lovers" by the Bauhaus when it happened. She must like that song. heart

When i was pregnant Kansas would kick so hard, the sheet on the bed would lift up. Sometimes you could even see her foot. Babies are so darn cute! and congrats on the first kick.

Now she's kicking all the time, especially when her daddy talks to her or when I'm listening to music! lol.

Congrats on the first kick!
I am reminded of a story. I am not sure this is really the place to post it, but it is interesting. A friend of my uncle who is a nurse told a story of a pregnent woman who could swear that she could feel her baby pulling on the back of her belly button. The doctors thought this was crazy, but after she insisted over and over again during the course of her pregnancy they finally checked it out. This was her fourth child, and all her others had been delivered by c-section. It turns out that the c-sections had weakend her uterus and a small tear had formed. The baby really was reaching it's arm out through the small hole and pulling the inside of the mother's belly button. It sounded really weird. The baby was born OK, but the doctor advised the woman against any further pregnancies due to her weakend uterus.
Sorry if this story isn't relative to the topic, but like I said, I was just reminded of it.

o.0;;;; SirKirbance ~ How the heck would that be though? In that case how would the amniotic fluid be in place? The baby needs that to survive and that story sounds like it wouldnt!!!! Odd.....
Back on topic, congrats on the first kick! Sure is amazing ^^ Both my girls have kicked so hard though I soon stop enjoying the kicks so much xD

She's kicking all the time now. lol This may sound odd but it's like I can tell what mood she's in when I feel her kick. Like, she hated the ultrasound and kept moving the whole time it was going on. But, she likes it when I sing or when her daddy talks to her.

When I was pregnant with my first child (Jen) I would try to snuggle up against my husbands back and she would kick so much when I did that my husband quit letting me snuggle up when we went to sleep because it kept us both awake! Congrats and I hope all is well with you and yours!

lol. wow. My gradmother says that when she was pregnant with my dad, she used to lay something on her belly like an ashtray(she didn't smoke while pregnant but had them around because she did before) and he'd kick it off.

I went ten days over with my first one. If you really don't want to go over (and you're not planning on going natural) talk with youb OB about the possibilty of induing labor.

10 days? Yikes! This crazy hippie dude told me something about poppycock(not sure what that is) and Dr. Pepper inducing labor, but I don't know about that....
