I'm working on a GW-themed computer game, and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get sound effects from the show. Not vocals, but things like MS using weapons, explosions, stuff like that.
Also, if anyone knows where I can find MIDIs of music from the series, that would be cool too.

I know they're all over the internet, midis I mean. Or they were.

Well, part of the thing is that I'm not just looking for MIDIs of the opening songs; I've already got those. What I'm really interested in are MIDIs of the incidental background music from the show. If I could find that, I'd be sitting pretty.

Darn. And I used to have a Ogg/Wav/MP3/midi converter, too. I uninstalled and deleted it because I never used it and didn't want to purchase the whole thing.
Now I find a use for it. ... the one time I overcome my packrat instincts, I find them validated. rolleyes
I'll see if I can find it in my archives somewhere, 'kay? And I'll midi up some of the background songs if I can. Which ones were you interested in? "Wings of Boy Who Killed Adolescence"is probably a good one to get... Also "Sora daka de Shiakatte" or "Inside the Girl's Heart" are both nice soft ones if you need some downtime music. "Enforcement Rush" was some nice battle music in EW, I think, and I like "Strength of Gundam". I don't really know what you're looking for, though.
EDIT: Bah... I found it, but the files it makes are larger than the MP3s. I need to find a way to cut out all the background stuff, and just leave in the main tune and the percussion. I don't think I'm skilled enough to do that, though.
I did find "Wings of a Boy..." as a midi, though, and it sounds okay. Do you have that one? Oh, and I have "Endless Duel" but that's from a gundam videogame...

Oooh, lovely. ^_^
I already have Wings of a Boy plus all the openings, but I'm looking for basically anything I can get. I'd like to get some good battle themes (like the other four boys' themes, OZ Mobile Suit Approaching, Gundam Attack) as well as some nice downtime themes (Inside the Girl's Heart, As Relena Peacecraft, Soldiers in Unmarked Graves). If you don't think you can effectively convert the songs, I have a friend who's good with MIDI; I could always ask him.
Out of curiousity, does that wonderful program of yours also handle .XA files?

I don't think so... part of the reason I'm having problems with it is because the interface is next to impossible to interpret. I think it's supposed to be for someone who has more than a tenuous grasp on what they're doing, which is probably why I uninstalled it before. rolleyes
I played with it last night for about an hour, using Wings of a Boy, and got nothing useful out of it. The help files are rather next to useless, too.
I'll see if I can get something good out of Inside the Girl's Heart.
Do you know the names of the other boy's themes?

Duo = Black Wings Inviting to Death
Trowa = In The Returned Scent of Blood and Gunpowder
Quatre = Looking for Peace Hiding in the Corpse
Wu Fei = When the Dragon Submerges, Everything Ends
Basically, they're the first five tracks on the first OST.
