The man this tale follows was no more then ten at the time he heard this but he could not belive anything but this. His father was the man that told him this, it was his last spoken words. The following day a pack of wolves had been sent into the town that this famly lived in. The man saw his father and mother torn limb from limb in his house as he coward under the sink. As he watched he grew a hunger for revenge on the wolves and their masters. years past and he started to practice necromance for the second time. Once when three or four he tried it and was beaten by his father. He hopped that he could get strong enough that the wolves would be far game. When he was fourteen he went to find the killers only to find himself falling into a trap set long ago. as he pushed throught the trees he was snagged by a simple rope and pulled up into a tree. as he hung there he heard the same sound of the wolves howling as he did four years past.

He heard footsteps coming from the area of the howls and soon a golden armored man came into veiw. "Well looky hear that boy finally decided to come and die like his parents." "You... You sent the wolves? But your... your a palden! Aren't you a protector?" "Yes and your village was one of necormacers and I can't let them live when they threaten the people." You monster" For sometime they went back and forth with this usless aguement till the paldan cut hi, down and told him to run or fight, eather way he would die. The boy spoke quickly and sprung a trap of his own. The dead bodies of five villagers he had known came flying out at the paldan and ripped him apart. The wolves howled and tried to run. Each wolf was killed and roasted over a roaring fire.

The boys hunger for revenge turned into one for power and blood. He started to search for every book on the art of necromance. His search continued for many years ending in many deaths. At the age of fifty he noticed his body was weakening and he was in need of a way around it. for the next ten years he seached but till he made a bet with death he had no luck. He bet death that if given the location of the book with the information on transfering a soul to a new body a a single day he could find it and do it before sunset. Death foolishly excepted and soon the man rushed to find the book. As he said he found and used the book before the sun finished setting. He then used his new body to kill many more and at the age of fifty prefored the same ritual. This continued on till his sixth transfer when he met a paldan female of such value to him he could not lift a finger to stop her. He tried his best to sway her but it seemed to fall till one night when on a moon light bridge he used his knowladge of the dark arts to light the sky many colors and form the words 'will you except this poor man for what he is' He waited at the edge of the bridge for her. At the sight of this she ran to him and leaped into his arms getting him off guard and sending them to the ground.

They kept there love in secert till one day when the man could not hold back anymore and asked her for her hand in marrige promiseing if she excepted he would give up the one thing that had kept him alive for this long. She yelped with joy and she excepted. She and he would give up there one job for one another. She would resign the next day after her last mission. The next day he was 'visting' his last town as a necromancer and when he returned to the hut he had lived in and helt his books of the dark arts to find it in flames. He saw a woman's figure siloweted against the flames come towards him. She rasied he blade and flung it into his left shoulder pinning him to the ground. As he tried to pry it out she read his crimes that had lead to his exicution. "For the murder of three hundred paldans, for the art of necromancy, for the tormenting of civillans, for the disrespecting of the dead I am here to end you life." She steped foward and he could see it was the very woman he was to wed whom had come to kill him. "So yo never really loved me then did you?" He spoke as she looked up from the paper she was reading. "Mercury? your the old necromancer?" She froze as all he could do was nod. She pulled the blade from his shoulder and struck it against him many times though missing his vitals. She drew the blade back, a lifeless look on her face, and forced it toward his face. He rose his hands to stop it but only dulled the blow. The blade sliced into his eye and stuck,

She tugged the blade and it came out, with the eye on it's tip. Mercury screemed in great pain as tears rush down his face. "I beg you, my love, finish me off now and let me die with honnor." She lifted the blade and removed the eye from it. then after rubbing the blood off it she sheathed it and slowly walked away. though unkown to the man her eyes were filled with tears.
