If something deserves a musical, it's Evil Dead.

I may have to buy the CD alone just to hear what the "What The ********?" song sounds like.

Speaking of Evil Dead, let me ask the question.... How's the Chosen one gonna fair against the Marvel Zombies?

Greta Hayes I may have to buy the CD alone just to hear what the "What The ********?" song sounds like. What the ******** Was That? is a tango, FYI. And Wally, the show is crap, but it's the same kinda crap Rocky Horror is. It knows what it is and it doesn't take itself seriously at all. It's cheesy, over the top, self-deprecating (or at least source-deprecating) fun. And if you see it, it needs to be splatterzone without poncho. I'm jealous, the other side of the audience got the good blood. Oh, and Ash ftw.

I saw it in New York, it's actually much better than any student musical show I've been forced to sit through (Oh god, I sat through Pal Joey SEVEN TIMES...don't date actors...). Splash zone seats were sold out when I went. :/ I saw the show when it was in Previews, so I might go back again~ They probably use a lot more blood than when I went anyways, since they change things around every other night when a show is in preview mode.
It's awesome if you are a die hard Evil Dead fan, over exposed to musicals that try to be taken seriously, or enjoy very silly things in general. :O My only complaint is that Ash is a little too skinny...!! Apparently he is the only original cast member from the original Canadian production left, and he seemed to really enjoy what he was doing.

I talked to him and the guy who played Jake for awhile after the show and they were both really nice guys. Felt kinda bad for the guy who played Ash, he mentioned making constant visits to the free healthcare clinic they had because he's Canadian and doesn't have insurance. They said the album should be dropping in March, though I've heard it may be sooner than that. They were just going in to record about a week after I saw it.

XD I think the guy who plays Jake is also in a Guns n Roses cover band, so more coolness points to him.
