A man had a Dream one day He saw a Nation united together as one Not by looks or pigmentation up front Yet for the deepness of their compassion for another
As the years melted away from his tragic departure The Vision that was spoken seemed all but forgotten Lost in the maelstrom of hate disguised as reparation And cries of injustice that are few and far between true
On this day, remove the predjudice from your heart Harken back your ears to that blessed day years past Hearing words of unity. community and compassion For what we've done now has bourn much more harm Than the bullet that stole this great man's breath
