My dad loves that i play all the old songs he likes...my mom think i make noise when i play and when i talk about making it big they laugh at me but still they dont stop me

well my dad is kinda the Classicals type but he pretty much think i play pretty good(and gets kinda excited when i decide to play some classical music by hearing) altough he probably would have been happier if i had started playing violin or something XD
and my mom, well she's not too much of the music type... but she's pretty supportive as any good mother ^^

My dad is really supportive and trys to help me buy gear when I really need it and comes to all my shows and stuff, and my mom says "she supports me" and stuff, but she's never really shown interest in my music and doesn't seem to be in any inclination to spend five dollars on my musical needs. xp

My Parents love the fact that I play, even if it is Heavy to Melodic Metal. They just plain enjoy to hear me play and toss out little sweep licks and tapping, etc.
My dad may be a blues man, but he still enjoys the Rock/Metal I play, but being a blues man he has an ear for the E Minor Pentatonic stuff (He just doesn't know wtf it is. xd ), and so I compensate and jam a bit of it for him every once in a while.
But no matter what, even if your parents don't support you or see how big music is to you, each one of you already knows not to give up, because its the heart that gets you places.

my parents are supportive, but my brother thinks ima end up bein a hobo playing on the streets for change. rolleyes
