Whats going on everyone? Im a relatively new to the world of FFXI, but Im starting to get some things down.

Character name is Giro and Im a Tarutaru Black Mage on the Odin server. Currently working on getting together the sub-job unlocking items while still levelling, since Im already level 18.

If youre on the Odin server and near the Dunes, look me up, as Im usually around that area for the time being.

But seriously, I couldnt give away my katana. Its part of who my avi is now. And Im doin fine on Odin now. Ive got my subjob set as a White Mage now and will be working to get it and my Black Mage acts together as well as building cash for equipment.

Since Im bored and here, guess Ill give a meaningless status update for my character!

Im now a lvl 24 blm with a lvl 11 whm as my subjob. Im chilling in Quifem or however its spelled. Having a good time partying and such, since my job is just to sit and nuke at non-voking intervals, which is easy as hell.

I actually have two questions now, though:
1) Am I the only one, or are all BLMs the silent members of parties?

2) Heard about Beastmen Stone fights. Whatre they about? They were recommended to me for attaining gil, which I havent been good at gettting at all. Can someone elaborate on them and the K Stone fights?

!) yes they usualy are because they just sit there and nuke razz u only really need to talk when they ask you to magic burst (but you need to learn those yourself too! biggrin )

2) they are a good way if you get the right ones. Also they can help you get equipment and spells..

Mages always seem to be quiet to me :/ I'm really chatty in pts but I seem to be able to get banter going with the melee I'm with rather than the mages who are just standing at the back.

Maybe they're concentrating more? Who knows?

They're actually called BCNM (Burning Circle Notorious Monster) or KSNM (Kindred Seal Notorious Monster). They can be very profitable but usually require a skilled team and decent gear (and definitely need leveled subjobs!! domokun ). Some fights are harder than others. Basically you just need to research which BCNMs are blm-friendly (people often look for very particular setups for these things). Save your Beastmen Seals for these events.
The best ones are lvl40 capped tho, so you might have to wait until then.
