I can't say I especially like that pose.
...Is he wearing a diaper?
The way his stomach bloats is kind of strange looking. It looks like it should be bending in, rather than out. And the leg on our left looks kinda weird. I think the foot should be flat on the ground for him to be able to hold a pose like that.
The best advice I can offer is to use a reference. Get one of your friend to sit in a certain pose for you, and you draw them.

I like it! I think his pose is cute and I like the hair, it looks like it hangs like hair should do.
I would have to agree that the legs look awkward though. I like the pointy toes but I would have either both of them like that and the knees a little further away from his body, or both of them flat and less tucked in, or one flat and the other pointy but the flat one less tucked and further away.

I really don't like the diaper.
Seems to me that his right hand should be visible behind him there?
The legs sort of look like you were guessing at them; I'd suggest attempting to find some reference.
I think that if you want him to be less animu, you could start by thickening his arms and shoulders, and squaring his jaw a bit. Real people don't have those pointed anime chins. You may also want to add nipples.

It's..not actually a diaper. ^^; It's called a Malo and it's related to a loin-cloth. Okay, so, I've fixed up the foot, the legs - gyah! People look at you weird when you ask for them to sit funky like that! Have you -ever- managed to get someone to sit weird like that!? D: Anyways, I've squared off the chin a little, fixed the eyes and the asymmetry of the facial structure, though.. The character does actually have some 'pudge' to him while still being slender and I do know that people have figures like that as I'm rather slender but I have a bit of a... Buddah-belly. *cough*, and I was trying to express that with the stomach sticking out a bit. I apparently failed, no? Could anyone help me out and explain how to fix that? I'll upload the new sketch now~ <3

The loincloth would probably look more like a loincloth instead of underwear if it were longer and part of it on the ground, like this, maybe:

If you want more realistic porportions, the body is too small. The shoulders seem okay, but after that, his body shrinks. Just a little bit longer, and a little bit wider. His thighs especially look large compared to his body. The (his) right foot is placed odd. Or, not odd I guess, but if it was turned towards the viewer just maybe 45ish degrees, it'd look better. Your call. The left leg is shorter than the right. The right leg is a good length, but if you meant him to be a child, then nevermind everything I said before, and just change the right leg to be shorter. I like it though, I like the pose. 3nodding Also, the reason why the loincloth may look funny is because it seems to be bulging out (lol@big package). If you flipped the way you drew it horizontally, that it'll look less like a diaper (left side drawn "bended" to the outside, right side drawn "bended" to the inside.)
