Since I do not have a Nintendo Wii or a Play Station 3, I live bicuriously through my friends that do. I asked my buddy Tony to give report on the Nintendo Wii. This is what he had to say:

Twilight Princess was an AMAZING GAME! I spent about 45 hours on it getting everything and I had alot of fun with it. I definetly recommend it, the controls are very impressive for one of the first games to be released on the Wii with the new controller. I couldn't see getting Twilight Princess for the gamecube, it would just be a waste. There is nothing like aiming the bow to exactly where I want to go. Twilight Princess is so good, the Wii is worth getting to just get Twilight Princess.

Red Steel was an okay game, nothing too impressive, but not a bad game for the first first-person shooter for the Wii. I enjoyed it, but it only took me ab out 20 or so hours of game play to beat 100%. And Ubisoft may have messed up when they made the game, because alot of people where complaining that it was hard to aim, and the cursor would jump around sometimes, etc. But for the first one on the Wii (besides Call of Duty 3) it isn't a bad game, and other games will only get better. In my opinion, Red Steel is a game to borrow from a friend of from Blockbuster, not really one that is a must own like Twilight Princess. I never did try out the multiplayer on it, so I dont have any opinion on it.

Trauma Center: Second Opinion was fun, but very repeatitive. Definetly a rental game unless you really enjoy doing roughly the same things over and over. If was fun while I had it, but not much replay value. And beating it 100% seemed impossible to me, because you have to move insanely fast to get the best rankings. But at least the story was interesting.

Wii Sports is a great party game, never gets boring. Nintendo is coming out with Wii Play (2/12/06 I think), which is just like Wii Sports but has 9 different games. I dont know all of them off the top of my head, but they do have lists .. if you want to see them. But back to Wii Sports, a great game to get for free with the Wii, I would have bought Wii Sports seperately if I needed to because it's so good.

And finally...to Marvel Ultimate Alliance. I personally have never played it on the PS2 so I can't compare it directly, but from what Seth has said, he liked it more on the Wii. Being able to move the controller in different directions to do different moves was a good addition. And you are still able to use the A button as attack, so you dont have to keep shaking the Wii Remote to attack. Special moves where just holding down B and moving the remote in a direction, or choosing your skill from the list and then using A to use it. And the nunchuck was used for moving around and camera movement, just by twisting the Nunchuck, you would be able to turn the camera in that direction. I thought it was better then having to use the joysticks in X-men Legends. But gameplay is the same as the PS2, but if I had a choice to get it for the Wii or a different next-gen system, I would get it for the Wii just because it's different and to me, seems like it would be more fun.

In conclusion, save your money and buy one, it's worth the $250. And everything that I've read, the Wii Remotes, even though people have thrown them into TVs and such, (I have never done that btw =P) they have all still worked after the destruction. So, Nintendo has made another great product and I will forever idolize Nintendo for being daring with the next-gen method that they took, and personally, it's no contest to who won the next gen wars...

I'm not going to lie to you, if you already want one bad enough do not play with one.

I made that mistake and it made me want one a lot more, almost to the point of gamers pain.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Hey! It's best that one of us scores one, and I think you have a better chance at it than I do. So, I will wish one for you, buddy!

If I knew you in real life, I would let you come over and play it, if I get one.

My mom wants to go birthday shopping tomorrow, since that's like the only free time she has, so we'll see how that goes.

Okay I'm going to stay away from the Zelda topic for now, but Red Steel is amazingly fun multi-player. Also, you can change the sensitvity on your controller for aim. You get used to it, and soon you will be grenade rushing rooms with shotguns.

I heard Red Steel just blows in general.

Now I want a Wii even more since it's getting an exclusive Kingdom Hearts game.

Is that the Mushroom Kingdom Hearts rumor I have been hearing about? I dunno how I feel about Sora teaming up with Mario and Princess Peach. Then again, when Kingdom Hearts came out the first time, I did stay away from it because the partners were Donald and Goofy. Meh!

Note to self: Don't go based on looks; go based on reviews. mrgreen
