It's more interesting when he plays the chapman stick. Eh.. they're fun to watch for complication, since they pretty much are the best at that. But they don't inspire much emotion so.. they're cool.

I wouldn't go as far as calling Myung the best in the business but he definately has skills. I'm kind of on the fence with Dream Theater, kind of depends on my mood I believe, one day I could thinks it's the most amazing composition I've ever heard and the next I could think they're just a bunch of music school elitists that like to listen to themselves wank around.

I was under the impression that Dream Theater consisted of FIVE Berklee grads. Not four.

I am unsure on the keyboardist. But that man is talented as all hell.

Dream Theater never really stirred any interest in me at all... Just...
Blegh...
Sounded kind of cookie-cutter to me.

Cookie-cutter meaning it just sounded mediocre and didn't seem to be original.
That is my 'opinion', not what I think is true.

Yeah, I will give them that. They are talented.
Still, feels like I've heard it before.
I feel the same with Trivium.

true that they are talented but they do alot of cover work and have done entire concerts that were just old albums being pro-covered(dark side of the moon and master of puppets)but they have some of the most original stuff ive ever heard to.johns bass lines are phenominal.
