I did read To Kill a Mockingbird and I liked it. The only thing that bothered me was some of the projects that the teacher made us do, like make a shoe box for the characters and put the stuff they would have put in the box. So simple... just give me something a little harder. This was even an AP class. xp

While the story itself isn't that action-packed or mainstream, it's the second most influential book of all time... the only book that beat it is the Bible. So ha heart
The themes are timeless. Glad you brought up the subject.

Yes, I also was forced to participate in discussions or else we would lose points... scream

I read this book this year for english, and I really liked it. I know some people who thought it was boring and pointless, but they're not the sort of people that...*coughs back some unkind remark*. Heh.
I just wish my english teacher was competent enough to give me an assignment that would make me think more about the book. The more I think about books, the more I appreciate them.
I wouldn't mind in class discussions, but I my english teacher must think that we're impaired or something, because she picks the most stupid topics.
Atticus Finch is awesome.
