"Pssssh. Stop the exaggerating. You took whatever your freaking teeth could get, and that happened to be my back. If I'd been moving quicker you would've caught my leg or something." Rune grumbled, brows furrowing while those eyes of his narrowed. "And I doubt Mafa would have any part in that little group. She likes to do things on her own, since she's able. And again, I doubt they'll be coming anytime soon, since you don't seem like you're in much of a hurry to leave." He sniggered, pointing out rather bluntly that Yakuti couldn't do much of anything quickly at the moment, let alone send anyone after him.

Why was he still talking to this dumb, ugly, blue thing? ..Although since he really didn't have much else to do..

"Mmn. Maybe I should just.. kill you or something. Shutcha up for a bit. I doubt anyone'd miss you.." The idea toyed in his head, despite that he wasn't really.. much of the killing kind. Even so, a silent, dangerous sort of grin was shot in the males direction.

"..but I'm kinda curious for the reason of why you hate me so much.. I don't remember ever meeting you or whatever.. can't have a grudge.. lion hater? Hmnph. Seems like all you hyenas have that one goin' on." It seemed as if he were speaking with himself, even though all he was really doing was just.. thinking. Aloud, but still.

"Well than that was just you being stupid." He scoffed, "If you had any brains at all, you wouldn't have turned your back on me in the first place!" Why was he even talking to this lion? He should be getting home, to safety, so he could take care of his leg and obnoxiously stinging cut on his side, not to mention that stabbing pain when be breathed.

"Please, come near me again and this time it'll be your neck that I snap at." He snarled, he wasn't about to go down without a fight. He thought of telling the lion that he had a mate, who was probably pregnant, thought of telling him that she would be infuriated if she found him dead. But that would just be giving him weapons, endangering her... She could take care of herself, but he didn't want to risk it.

"Yeah, I hate lions, especially ones that stalk me." He growled, standing up on his slightly shaky legs, injured limb still motionless. He leaned back slightly when he walked, to keep from walking forward, he could get used to this. He just hoped that he'd be back on all fours soon.

He walked akwardly away from Rune, though still watching him out of one eye in case he tried anything. That would be stupid of him, but he had already established that he wasn't all that bright, at least Yakuti thought so.

"Ah. Well I thought you were being stupid for considering taking a full grown, and larger than you, lion? Silly me. I assumed that it'd be a death wish and that you weren't that keen on being injured.. whaaaaatever." He retorted while lifting himself, slowly and carefully, to all fours.

"Lion haters. All of ya. Ah well. Better get used to me, I'll be around more often." He snerked, eyeing the hobbling hyena for a moment before following. "And nah. Mafa'd be pissed if she found out I'd gone and died on her," Runai added lightly while he limped behind. Between his minor former limp, his back, and his side, Rune wasn't keen on doing much of anything else besides running his mouth and wandering around slowly. And he obviously was annoying Yakuti, which pleased him even further than he'd already been.

Still. If he had his way after speaking with Mafa, yes.. he'd be around this particular area much more often. Unfortunately not being an immediate enemy with the hyenas around here was at the top of his mind-- another reason for sticking around with this ugly blue thing.

Yakuti growled, it appeared that Rune was going to follow him, and he wasn't a bit happy about it. "Look you, if you follow me home and my mate will be there, and she's a better fighter than me. You're injured, she's just fine, and once she see's the state I'm in, nothing will stop her from tearing you to bits."

He increased his pace as much as he could without falling, moving with a slightly bouncy rocking back and forth motion. Almost like a run, exept slower and quite akward looking. He didn't care, it would get him closer to his den faster, the sooner he got there, the better.

"And even if she doesn't attack you, I may not be in any condition to raise the alarm, but she sure is. She'll round up the pack, maybe even Mafa, and I doubt you'd make it far enough away to escape them. It'll be a nice hunting opportunity for them all."

Yakuti didn't appear to be happy about Rune's following, but the male could barely care less.

"Ah. Assuming that she hates my kind as much or more than you? Maybe she does, maybe she doesn't. I'll take my chances." He commented lightly. "I could always just say like. That I'm makin' sure that you make it home safe and sound back to her or something sappy like that. Girls buy that junk," He added, tastefully. It was true. Girls always fell for that stuff.

"Ooor. Maybe she won't even be there. ..or perhaps you're lying to me. And you have no girlfriend at all." Rune smirked at the thought of Yakuti's face if he found that his supposed mate wasn't even home, or if Rune followed and he didn't really have one.

"So. Til then. Why the hell d'you wanna have me killed again? I'm not an enemy." Rune grumbled, quirking a brow as he picked up his pace, not easily, but still, to keep close to the hyena ahead.

Yakuti couldn't help laughing at that. "She hates your kind alright, and has killed many." He sneered, "And she's not just any girl, she hardly fits your deffinition. She'd attack on sight."

Though his mind did have to consider the possibility that she would be out. It was quite likely, actually, but even so, she'd be back before long and would smell him. Rune really was putting himself in a bad position, but Yakuti decided to let him follow. Easier for Shira to take him on than him, he was in no state right now, but he had weakened the lion, that was for sure.

"I assure you though, I do have a 'girlfriend', which is bad news for the likes of you." He said spitefully, before adding simply,

"Any lion who enters our territory is an enemy."

"Hmn. Killed many, eh? From where? I haven't heard of any lion killing hyenas 'round here." He stated flatly with a mild shrug. "But I could care less of the risk. It's what makes my life interesting, since nothing else does the trick," Rune continued, trying to pick up the pace a bit so he didn't lag so much behind.

"And wrong," He added, giving a slight nod of his head. "Any Maziko that enters the territory should be an enemy. Or any rogue trying to damage the pack. I'm neither, it shouldn't be a problem. Plus I've wandered in multiple times to meet up with Mafa."

It wasn't as if he were lying, at least. It was true that Mafa preferrably wanted him alive, rather than dead, which was probably why he was still standing today. IF he'd been wanted dead, he would've been killed on previous visits to the hyena territory. Thus far, he didn't have any problems. Cept for this blue thing.

"Sooooo. How much further, Blue?" He commented, struggling to move much faster than he had been. His back was almost completely soaked in blood now, and the effect of blood loss had slowly begun to work it's way into his head. Hopefully they'd be near wherever Yakuti lived, otherwise he'd probably fall clear over on the way, considering that the mild sense of being lightheaded already started prowling through his mind.

"She didn't always live here." He said simply, breath becoming difficult. He slowed his pace back down to an akward walk rather than a stupid looking run. He scowled, hating to give the lion an opportunity to catch up.

"Oh really, and I suppose you don't ally yourself with the Maziko? And what reason would you have to meet with Mafa?" He huffed. He didn't think Mafa would let a lion just walk in and let it walk out again, but if she wanted to kill him, he would have almost certainly been dead by now.

"Why do you want to know? Getting tired, kitty?" He mocked, though loss of blood was also making him slightly lightheaded.

"Shut up," Rune snapped with a quiet growl. "You're as tired and dizzy as I am, y'ugly blue rat." He grumbled, continueing rather quickly. "And no. I don't ally myself with those ruddy filth. My dad used to have control of the damn thing. My mum abandoned the family, and psh. The wretch went and got herself knocked up a few times somewhere else. Dad left, and most of the family left. Stupid.. no good.. whatever. They were all morons anyway. And now Ausha has little runts of his own. The one's in charge, I think. At least Ausha hopefully died already. Maybe." Runai grunted. He never took the chance to complain and talk any kind of trash on Ausha and his family. Losers, the lot of them.

"Oh and meeting with Mafa's my own business. None of yours." He commented, adding on to his previous comments. Rune never seemed to have anything nice to say.

"Whatever," He continued, shaking his head. "I should go find Maf-kins anyway. You can limp on home, blue. Alert your pack, whatev. I'll've already met with Mafa and have left by the time you get there. Probably. Or maybe you'll just drop dead in a few more minutes. Save me the trouble of dealing with your clan or whatever." Quickly he redirected his path, assuming that he could probably be doing better things with his time than pest Yakuti. Besides. What business did he have tailing one of Mafa's lackies?

"And you know this how?" He smirked, ignoring the rat comment.

"Well, there's one thing we have in common. I suppose you're not the worst lion around here." He admitted, "I'll let you alone next time then, though hopefully there won't be a next time. Just because I won't attack you doesn't mean I like you."

"Last time I checked, lions had no buisness in the graveyard at all. But have it your way, I'll not stick my face where it doesn't belong. You might want to try that sometime." He laughed, a traditional hyena laugh that echoed in an eerie way off the bones.

"Fine, I will." He huffed. That had to have been one of the strangest encounters he had ever had. Maybe, just maybe, it would be useful for the pack to ally themselves with him, if only until the Maziko were extracted from their lands. With that, he slunk into his den, which happened to be right there, cleverly hidden underneath an elephant skull.

"He's still just a dumb lion though."
