It kind of works.
If you subtract the riducule at the arcade, factor in the cost of the machine. (Some around here are $2.00 per play) and can actually spend the time and money it needs, go ahead.
I didn't lose that much weight, I'm still hovering around 260. But I look slimmer and my calves are bigger than anyone I know. But also taking into account the 7 times I dislocated my knees playing, the countless "Haha! Lookit fatty play!" and all the time I spent at the arcade, not shooting zombies. I lost more than I gained out of it. *shrug*

Well, me and my best friend own that game. So we play it at home. (helps if you suck or just play it too much for your budget) It does work though. I can have the worst foods that day, and if I am on the DDR machine for about 30 minutes I don't gain anything! ^_^ Doesn't help much if you are on beginner, its too slow to help Try light mode with some one with more experience. (so you don't fail first song.) If people ridicule you then just tell them to screw off. Zombies scare me... and I have known of places giving DDR for $0.75

I dealed with the ridicule by kicking their butts. Kids from the middle school would come in and make fun of me, I'd just challenge them to Rythm and Police on Heavy. (8

Well it helps alot if you own the game on PS2. You don't have to put up with the ridicule, and though it costs money to buy you dont spend $2 per game play, plus it's right there anytime you want to play it.
I don't play enough for it to make a very big impact, though I should. It's a good work out and it's FUN, and I'm sure if you played it enough you could lose alot of weight.

It costs a lot, but then you have it at home so people wont make fun of you at the arcade, and you can play it whenever you want xp I have it. I haven't lost much weight on it, but I'm not exactly playing it an hour a day either.

My friend became obsessed with DDR, he was a big guy but he just loved DDR. Anyways, he wasnt trying to diet, and he didnt change what he ate, but he lost over 2 stone in 6 months playing DDR. He bought himself a metal gamepad thingy in the end because a mat just wasnt arcade-like enough for him xd
