I just woke up from this one..well sort of stare
I was in the local hospital. There had been a very severe accident and the hospital was understaffed, and somehow I got involved and was cleaning the wounds of a little girl to help reduce some of the time needed for surgery prep (they needed to remove large chunks of glass imbedded in her and do stitches for several cuts). But while I was assisting her a bunch of techs came. One for x-rays, bloodwork, and a couple of other things. All of them grabed her at the same time and attempted to pull her in different directions, not realizing others were doing the same thing. As I was trying to get them to stop I saw her injuries were bleeding again and she was screaming. That was when I woke up.
But obviously, I couldn't leave things like that. Some how I got back into the dream. Got them all to knock it off and to help me get the bleeding stopped, and washed just prior to the surgeon coming to get her.
The second part doesn't count as part of the dream, as it was a conscious alteration. (guess also refered to as lucid dreaming?)
But I am very aware of its meaning. It is a reflection of what I wrote in the guilds life issues thread recently. I am not sure if the little girl is supposed to be me or my work, so I will assume she is both. Myself represents what needs to be done, and the techs are other opinions and influences which are important, but if continued to go unorganized, will cause serious trouble.

you are right on! That is exactly what I was thinking. I think I see the little girl more as yourself (and possibly your confidence?) Being that she is a little girl, shows that you may feel 'little' compared to all the stressors around you right now. And it could also show that your confidence in your self as well as your work could be waning. sad I do hope things get better for you.
Oh, and the second part of your dream...thats just you trying to take control over the situation...try to step back if you can...maybe that is what is making you more stressed, you are trying to take control and responsibility for things that are out of your hands?

I was leaning more towards the little girl actually representing the residents, just because of the way I felt when I woke the first time. But you are right the feelings I woke with would fit with me as well, which is why I went with both. I felt responsible and wanted to make sure she got proper care. Meaning, I need to direct proper care to the residents, and me.
The second part I don't really see as being part of the dream. But I'm not fully familiar with how lucid dreaming works. As you said I wanted to take control. My conscience couldn't leave her stranded while the tecs fought as to which direction they wanted her to go, so that is why I went back into the dream, and made sure she was safe.

It might be a form of lucid dreaming...if so, then I've done it before and didn't realize it.
