I've got a bunch of bands that I've currently begun to listen to within the past month, I'll list them up and the like:

Sparta
I know I haven't mentioned these guys before. They're a band that formed after the breaking up of the band called 'At The Drive In'. They are absolutely fantastic. I do have a CD recommendation. I recommend that you hear 'Wiretap Scars'. It's my favorite of the few CDs they have out. The other CDs are not quite as good, I find. They have a definite rock sound to them. In fact, some of their music can be heard in the movie 'The Invisible' or something like that.

Alexisonfire
They're a band that formed in Southern Ontario. A fantastic rock band... borders on rock/metal/punk. It's difficult to find a good genre to staple these guys to, to help define them. They're definitely a talented band in the department of music.... I've not 100% loving their vocals but when you really listen to them you start to realize they do some neat things with their music.

Blaqk Audio
I'm not certain if I've mentioned them of not. This group contains two members of AFI. Davey Havok is on vocals and writing lyrics and JAde Puget is doing a brilliant job of providing the beats. They have a very Depeche Mode feel to them. This is definitely an electronic band.

Tiger Army
Whether I've mentioned them or not, I feel they deserve a re-mention. They're a psychobilly band from California. A very talented (and I can't stress that enough) band. They have just recently released a new album called music from regions beyond and I find it to be their best album yet. They've outdone themselves. I encourage people to give them a listen.
