Not necessarily a "horror" story but an issue that should raise concern: 1337. It's bad enough that it is one of the official languages of the internet but the real cause for fear is when it creeps into the real world... like our fashion industries. Believe it not, at school today I saw a guy wearing a shirt whose message was written completely in 1337. Insert impulsive twitch of rage here.

I actually think that 1337 is fine in small doses ((Megatokyo does it for me)). But, too much of it, and I feel...deprived of something. Almost dead inside, and becoming stupider every second.

"Elite" or "1337" talk was created and mostly used by computer hackers. it was created so that their communication would not have to go enccrypted, but they found new methods of sahring secure information, and their newibe (n00b) friends found out about this "soon-to-be-forgotten language". And that's how things are now; every n00blet around here tries to impress the masses with their 1337 talk skills, which makes us, somewhat literate people, roll out in either laughter or sincere agony.
I laugh a lot, if you ask me.

The message would make you laugh then. Since I can't write 1337 to save my life, I'll just write it in it's grammatically correct form: "If you can read this then you need to get laid."
After the initial blow to my mind, I laughed because it was just so pathetic. Well, it was more a "ha" and then I walked away.
