Thank you. We'll see. So far, the Mods/Admins seem to still be discussing it and are continuing to ask me questions about what transpired...

What I do know is that the Marketplace is seriously Flawed, and that it offers a heap of potential to get yourself banned if "bad gold" or even "bad items" come into your possession. Trades seem a bit more secure for some reason, but not without running the same risk. I have asked if there's any way for a person to determine the origin of gold or items before accepting a trade or making a purchase, and I've not received an answer concerning this yet.

I don't know how they expect folks to "play" when so many of the options available for acquiring "stuff" on this "stuff-oriented" site is so flawed. Of course, if they stopped the gold at the 1st person, none of this would really be an issue...

I suggest that you all avoid the marketplace and doing trades with anyone you're not absolutely certain you can trust and to "spread your virtual wealth" across accounts...

I'm taking this advice. I've decided where I'm going to sell from, where I'm going to keep what, and where I'm going to send most of my funds so not all is lost if one account accidentally receives botted gold. It sucks that some people have to suffer the losses first though neutral but there's still hope it gets resolved!

ummm... yeah. Learning from experience like this .... stinks. I'm glad somebody is learning from this fiasco, though...

I believe the way to protect oneself best is basically to have 3+ accounts:
1..... to actually play on; only equipped things are on this account at any time
2..... a "blank" one to do ALL trades/marketplace transactions. This one is likely to be banned at some point unless things change dramatically...
3..... one to "store" things and is only accessed for trades between your own accounts.
4..... another storage account if you're truly paranoid.

... and to wait some period of time before transferring recently traded gold or items from the "marketplace" account to the "storage" account.... just in case you got some botted gold or a "bad" item in whatever trades/marketplace you just completed - you don't want to transfer it to the storage account and have that one banned too. Of course, all this may be thoroughly flawed; I don't know how quickly they normally act, or how many levels of "ownership" (accounts) Gaia will pursue in their banning of ill-begotten pixels.... rolleyes

Still no further information concerning my account gonk crying Soooooo, I was just scrolling through the forums, trying to find additional appropriate Moderators to contact concerning my unfairly banned account... and it's proving entirely tedious and time-consuming!! Does any Purkle know of some masterMod list someplace?? Or any other avenues I can try pursuing to get my account back? - Thanks.

i've never seen a master list anywhere, there should be one!

along with the times said mods are likely to be online, not such as issue for you i know, but for me mods are generally in bed when i'm online! especially if it's a school night rolleyes
