For the past few days, whenever I go into my basement I can sense someone there. Once I saw a dark human form rounding the corner at the bottom of the stairs. Just this morning, I saw the same dark human form sitting behing the wheel in my family's van. Both times I nearly jumped out of my skin. This thing is becoming really creepy. Any advice on what to do?
EDIT:
Another thing: a week or two ago, I was just lying in bed when, you know that ringing that's always in your head? Well, it was really, really loud. Loud like an airplane taking off, the loudest I'd ever heard it. I also heard bells, the jingly kind, and a bunch of static, or maybe it was a rainstick. It wouldn't go away, and only faded when I put my whole mind to reading my book.

I get the same issues, and was having a dark entity following me around for a while. I don't know why it's happening but uh I just replied to tell you you're not alone =/ If that makes you feel any better

I've never really had this happen to me, but perhaps showing this entity that you aren't afraid (even if you are) may help solve the problem. Hopefully this helps.

I hear things like this are common. When it comes to something like this, I usually just go on normally, as if I don't care that it's there. It usually goes to find something more entertaining. That is, if it doesn't actually have a purpose.

Question..are you seeing it out of the corner of your eyes or you're actually able to see it in full focus?

Have you ever stopped to think it could be your guide or someone from your family coming to say they are ok.
Another good thing to do is look up the history of your place and find out if anyone has died in that area. Just tell the spirit that they are dead and need to go. Make sure to address it as something like.
"Hey you sitting behind the wheel in the van, you have died and need to go to the light."
Sometimes they don't realise that we are talking to them unless we discribe what they are doing or have a name.
