The first anime I ever saw was Samurai Pizza Cats, which was changed drastically from the original version (mostly script-wise IIRC).

It'd be Voltron... G-Force... (aka Gatchaman), or Speed Racer... I really think it's G-Force, however. But I love old animes... so much. Ronin Warriors is an old anime, but it came out a lot later. I love anime from the 80's... that went on into the 90's. heart My age is showing... crap.

My first Anime was Pokemon. I don't watch it anymore. I have lost track of the story after Hoen Region.

Mine might technically have been Pokemon but originally it was more my brother watched it and I ate breakfast in the same room. I think the first one I consciously decided to watch myself was Dragon Ball Z and then Yu Yu Hakusho. Thought the first anime I started watching aware of what anime was (as something other than just 'cartoon') was Inuyasha.
I stopped watching Pokemon after both Misty and Brock left, I don't handle huge character shifts too well, even if it was characters I didn't even like. My attachment to the show was based on an existing character dynamic and with that gone I lost interest. I've only seen a handful of 'newer' episodes because my housemates still watched it during my undergrad. With my own firsts I stopped watching Dragon Ball Z around 14 when I decided I'd rather sleep in the morning and couldn't be bothered to find it on at another time. I never finished Yu Yu Hakusho or Inuyasha though I've meant to. In both cases it was because Adult Swim stopped playing them. I started re-watching Inuyasha fairly recently but then life got in the way and I still haven't gotten anywhere near the end (or even close to where I had previously left off). I hear it doesn't end well but I liked it enough to want to finish it, someday.
I do owe Pokemon a debt though, as I wouldn't have gotten into Yu-Gi-Oh if it hadn't been on after Pokemon. It was when I started swim practice and started recording Yu-Gi-Oh and not Pokemon that I realised I was into YGO in it's own right and not just because it was conveniently around a show I was re-watching.

My very first anime was.... Sailor Moon and something else of which I cannot remember the name. And somewhere along those lines I watched yugioh once where Yami did DDM, but I never registered that. And then there was Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z.
Only after the cards came in did I begin to watch yugioh full on. And record it and then they stopped showing it on the telly so then I watched it online thanks to a friend of mine. I still owe her a thousand thank you's.

I liked the theme song from Sailor Moon but I never quite got into the show. When flipping channels if I landed on Sailor Moon and I thought they hadn't played the song yet I'd watch until they did (or until the end if I happened to guess wrong) and then flip as soon as it was over.
It is a lot easier to not get cut off from shows when program schedules change with streaming online. Most of the shows I didn't finish (Inuaysha, Yu Yu Hakusho, probably Dragon Ball Z but a lot of that was I just lost interest, etc) was due to not really having another avenue to watch. My parents had dial up - and had dial up until I finished my undergrad, so really it's only within the last 5 years they've had decent internet I can watch TV on when I visit. In HS dial up was 'cheaper' but only if you didn't use it, so they'd probably have murdered me if I sat around watching anime on it all the time. Oh I do not miss those days. smile
