My latest model is a rose-grey mustang stallion, his original name i did not like so he has been re-named Storm, he was in a funny gallop, really stretched out and a bit off-balance, he had the right position to be rearing but his tail wouldent support him, so i used the greatest customizing trick (if you hold a breyer horse model into near-boiling to boiling water, they become maluable, but its tricky unless youve been doing it forever, i have trouble with legs)so i re-positioned his tail so it would support him in a rearing position, unfortunately, my having trouble with re-positioning legs, i couldent get his hind legs to look like he was acctually rearing, one is cocked way foreward and the other is cocked back, but unfortunately, when you do this the paint comes off, so i had to re-paint his black hind-legs, his black tail and the deeper rose grey part on his back, and the dorsal stripe..i have to re-do his back because its not the right color..i just noticed that a few days ago..

Usually, to get legs right, they need to have the excess plastic cut away before bending.

And then the legs can be patched in with Epoxy and sclupted before painting.

you know, i tried to cut the legs once to bend them more easily with a running foal, seen with the spirit family set (running, not grazing, though i have both..all re-painted xp ) but it didnt work so well..im very new at this (if thats what you would call it xp ) so i dont have much patience for it..im waiting to get a cheaper breyer model i dont care so much about, mabey an older model, to practice on, so i dont ruin more important and valuable models..of course, theres just some you cant customize..say, Romance ^.^

Watch Ebay. Sometimes you can find body boxes for little of nothing. These make great models for practicing on legs, tail.. well anything. And you don't have to mess up one of your own collection. smile
