On Wednesday my school is hosting a bunch of congressmen and celebrities in our theatre to promote school stuff and the online school program. All these papers and like news stations are coming to record it and our choirs get to sing as the big finale =D! I for one find this to be like probably one of the biggest moments of my life I just couldn't keep it to myself 4laugh
What about you guys? Any major concerts that really was really exciting?

My sister once sang at Carnegie Hall with about 500 other kids.
As for me, I had two moments that were big for me musically. Please forgive me if I've posted these elsewhere in the guild.
First was the Pops Concert my senior year. I was the only one to get solos with the Jazz Choir (since I was the only talented one there), and I had two more solos. Not to mention the fact that I was dressed as the Phantom of the Opera.
My second one was when I played Berthe in the spring musical Pippin last year. I had the longest song in the whole show, and I was surrounded by cute boys!

My biggest performance ever (not counting singing the national anthems at an NHL game last month) was when i was in the choir for the opening ceremonies for the IAAF world track and field championships here in Edmonton. Nothing like being broadcast all over the world smile

Most of the performances i am in are pretty big. my school has one of the top 5 show choirs in the nation so alot of people come. and were i live, MANY actors/actresses live only a few miles away so some even go to the school. and there are a few in the show choir itself. (not all of the actors/actresses are famous though)
all our performances always have over 1000 people ish (i dont know the exact number) of people attend per a night. ish. i am not sure the exact number. and we have about 285 singers in the choir.
Our first performance this year (in october) James Snyder was our host and he introduced all of the acts in the show.

I come from a pretty sleepy little town, so we didn't do a whole lot of big performances. Our musicals were always sold out, but the theater only held 400 people. sweatdrop
The year before I was eligble to join Chamber Singers though, they did a concert for His Holiness the Dalai Lama when he toured through Portland. That really made me wish I'd been a year older.
Next year my choir will be singing in Carnegie hall with two or three other choirs from around the country and my director conducting. So I'm excited about that. smile

Our all-girls' choir is singing with some other womens' choirs at Carnegie Hall. SO PSYCHED! whee People dream of performing at Carnegie Hall, and I get to go just because I attend this school's choir class.
We're also performing with d**k Van Dyke for his last musical performance. Also psyched! He's comign to our school to rehearse with us.
