Unfortunately I only had like an hour with my model so i kind of fudged the lips a little bit. I fixed them about four times. I think his forehead is a little big

I like the brushstrokes on the figure, but in the background they seem to messy and forced and distracting.
I think showing your gestures through the brush strokes is nice, but you could try to make them more controlled, just so that they don't detract from the figure. Also keep in mind that you're still trying to convey a sense of depth/space and while the figure looks like a 3-d object, the background really flattens the image. You could be a bit more strategic with the placement of the brown versus the blue to imply a light source or space.
