Something I wrote a few nights back . . .
Glaring lights flashing
Passing through a vision
Haunting orange-tinted light
Pushing back the night
Small and shining on the wall
A star, captured and contorted
A child's friendly light
Pushing back the night
Bright and blinding they shine
Chasing away fear's assassin
Our ally is the light
Pushing back the night
Shadows birthed from ages past
Lurking in our dreams
And we turn to light
Pushing back the night
Fear of the unkown dark
That suffocates it's creators
And we turn on the light
Pushing back the night
Where is the beautiful dark?
It is forgotten
For we have light
Pushing back the night
Fear springs from lost memory
Of shadows that dance
Created by the light
Pushing back the night
