These were awsome games. I really loved this series. The games were set in the future, the graphics were a combination of Cell-shading and pre-rendered backgrounds, and it had the tank controls of the old Resident Evil games.
The first game was about three mercenaries, Hana, Glas, and Deke as they're sent to find a buisnessman's missing daughter. The second one showcased how the three met each other and introducted Hana's "lover" Rain as a forth playable character. This also made the second game to be one of the first to showcase the main character with a homosexual lifestyle. The games were also known for combining political intrigue and Chinese Mythology.
The games were fun and very hard. It was a mix of Resident Evil-style shooting with Silent Hill-style complicated logic puzzles. The story was awsome, and very funny at some points and the cast was a very likeable group of badasses. cool
And It makes me sad that they cancelled the third one, Fear Effect: Inferno for PS2. I hope it resurfaces itself one day. Also a movie is scheduled for release of next year. Thankfully, Uwe Boll losts the rights to it and is now going to be directed by Stanley Tong, so hopefully it'll be good.
Anyone else play them?

Oh yeah, I beat the first one, but got stuck about half way through the second (and it was taken before I went beack to finish). some of the puzzels if you can call them that were ridiculous though. Like pouring the oil on the metal square to make the guard slip rolleyes I must have poured the oil down the drain 20 times before I read the faq which told me to pour it down the OTHER square. I like the actual puzzles though... Sometimes. Diffusing the bomb was sort of bitchy. I thought I had heard of a newer 3rd installment that wasn't inferno, but I can't find any info on it. Probably a rumor.
Uwe Boll though? That's a bad omen... His filth is hard to wipe off of something he's touched.
