Seisen Village: On the border between Konan and Kutou, near the fork of the Shouryuu and Hijiri Rivers lies Seisen Village. Now a vast fishing village, Seisen is much larger than it was many years ago. Boasting a population of five hundred people, it is constantly getting more members due to the supply of water, which is higher than that around it.

Hatori looked around the street corner he was performing on, a wide smile on his face as he sang a beautiful and upbeat tune about the current Empress. His bright, red hair stuck up at odd angles and his rust brown clothes only seemed to enhance the coppery tones in his skin. If one looked at him, they would think he had an affinty for fire, which is what he wanted everyone to think. Such things had to be done when one was hiding from a powerful Lord.

“Fish, fish, fish...” The brunette teenager muttered, holding an empty basket in front of her as she moved along side the street. Her nose wrinkled at the thought, having never really been found of fishing, but she had decided she would at least give it a try, which was what had her wound up there in the first place. An Ling's emerald eyes drifted to the empty basket, sighing at her lack of success as she moved along quietly. “...I should just stick to my studies.” She muttered softly, shifting the empty basket to one hand as the other reached behind her, moving to the pack on her back.
As she patted around in the pack, her hand finally grasped a hold of a small scroll, moving it down into the basket, sliding it open. Her eyes gazed down upon it, focusing her attention to reading as she walked along. But, her attention was soon pulled away as she heard a rather beautiful, upbeat melody coming from the end of the street. An Ling's copper hand slid away from her basket, moving to her hip as she walked along, her eyes only glancing up from what she was reading to fall upon the effeminate red haired man. Actually managing to come to a halt, the young woman shifted her weight in her stance, bringing the basket down from in front of her so she would actually pay a slight amount of attention to the performer. Well, it's not like I have anywhere to go right now. I can listen for a short while.

Hatori looked over to the woman listening, and he gave her a smile and wink, and didn't even miss a beat. Once he was finished he noticed an itch on the side of his neck. Luckily he was wearing a collar that hid his mark as Chiriko... that was one of the ways the people he was run from could find him. He wondered why his symbol was appearing, and his gaze went back tot he girl...

Lian walked as fast as she could through the streets, fretting. She was going to be late. For a moment she nearly freaked and ran, but she kept herself under control. Control, control, she kept reminding herself. As she passed by a street corner near the town square she heard a melodious robust voice singing. She glanced around; there was a fiery-looking man, probably a performer, carolling out like a songbird. A small smile crept onto her lips. Performers were one of the few things that kept many people's morales up, especially seeing as the drought had literally sapped them dry. She searched through her light money purse and found that she had more than she needed. Fishing out the excess she weaved her way through the crowd and tossed the money next to the performer before nodding to him and scooting away. She was late enough as she was.

An Ling listened in silence as the young man continued his song, a small hint of a pink running through her cheeks when he smiled and winked at her, though, she shifted her gaze, collecting herself for a moment, before she began to feel an itch on her right wrist, feeling the gaze shifting back to her from the musician. Biting down on her lip, she quickly tried to think of an easy way to break the rather awkward silence after such a beautiful song, and get the attention away from her. Well, only one thing I can think of... Make a distraction, though that wont get the attention off of me.
“Wonderful performance!” She cried, rather loudly, bringing her hands together several times, her eyes shifting to the side. Looking down, her eyes glanced to her right wrist, her left hand quickly grasping it to cover the mark, dropping her basket in front of her feet. Now, to make my exit... Mitsukake grinned momentarily, giving a quick nod to the musician, beginning to hurry off past him. Unfortunately, the young woman seemed to have forgotten the basket which she had dropped, her feet getting tangled in the mess, sending her face first to the ground.

Hatori hopped off his perch, though he move his hand to the side of his neck to block the light that came from his symbol. He was curious as to why he was reacting to the girl, it normally only manifested when he was using his power. "I am sorry to have flustered you Miss! may I help you up?" He flashed his pearly white teeth at her, normally the trait of a noble and not a street performer...

((That'd be awesome. ^^ Well, I'm gonna ask Kaivi to okay my idea of how to incorporate Lian into the Reikaku area before moving there, and she's got an appointment in Seisen anyways, so Lian will be hanging around a bit longer.))
Lian had almost broken free of the crowd when she heard the commotion. Looking behind her she barely caught the performer helping a young woman up. After debating a bit, she sighed and continued walking. Damn . . . now it's gonna haunt me . . . she thought miserably. Then again, she probably just tripped, what harm could that do? Sigh . . . I'm too distracted for my own good . . .
But as she turned to go she felt the skin over her sternum grow warm. What the- She turned around and took a second look. The performer seemed to be wanting to hide something on his neck . . . was that a red glow she saw? She stood there debating once more. It wouldn't be right to just waltz up and say, "Hi, I think I saw a red glow on your neck, could I see?" when the man was clearly trying to hide it. Then she saw her excuse.

Looking up to the man as he offered to help her up, she let out a small sigh, figuring she may as well take his offer for help. Though, Mitsukake noticed something that seemed a little off about him as she gazed up to his teeth. Her lips parted, about to make a comment on that, but she decided to keep quiet on that fact, at least for the moment. “... Yes, thank you...” She said quietly, reaching up as she said so.

Weaving her way back, she squatted down next to the girl.
"Are you alright? That was quite a fall," she said.
Even though her eyes were on the girl she paid more attention to the man who was helping her up. Strange, his teeth seemed . . . abnormally white for a regular street performer. And . . . he was hiding something. His hand was on his neck, clearly to obstruct the view. It had been there for far too long and he didn't seem to be moving it. But she didn't say anything and waited for something to happen . . .
