Ihlo looked a little sheepish herself, still a little unsure about the idea of trying to paddle around and stay above the surface. She eyed the waters, visibly insecure and curling her muzzle in a peculiar fashion.
"Oh alright, you've twisted my paw. If your brother and sisters can do it, then I'm sure I can," she smiled and laughed.

He grinned and winked at her and then began to move toward the water, his body swaying slightly. "We don't have to go in deep or anything, y'know?" He glanced back to her. He knew he couldn't swim all that well. He could just swim, period. Splashing around was good enough for him too though!
"Do you like games?" He wasn't sure if she was too big to play them still or not. His white toes just graced the water's edge as he asked this.

"Well, I'm a big girl now, I don't think the waters will be too deep for me," she chortled, playing it up a little bit.
She could probably touch the bottom of the watering hole in places that Rengo couldn't, but she wasn't going to show off or push her luck by swimming right into the middle. Her own experience of swimming extended spalshing around in the shallows...and thats it. This was as much a learning experience for Ihlo, as it was playtime for Rengo.
"And that depends - what kind of games?" she smiled. Even if she knew she was growing up, she wasn't too old for games. No one was too old for games.

Rengo grinned at her and began to head into the water, hesitating at the edge and peering into his reflection. He lifted a paw and slapped it down with a grin, watching the droplets splash everywhere.
He looked back to her and his tail swung. "Uhhm.. Well we could play leap frog!" That was fun in the water. "Or prey and preditor.." Actually, those were the only two water games he knew.
(Pride + preditor = marco polo)

Ihlo soon joined him at the water's edge, tail held high as always, and she watched him as he supposedly conquered his reflection, destroying it with the slam of a paw.
"Well, I think I have an unfair advantage over you - I can hop over you know, let alone in the water," she gloated, demonstrating her agility. "So, lets go with Prey and Predator. What do you want to be?"

She didn't know that for sure! They hadn't even tried to play! Ah well, best not to argue over things like that. "I'll be Prey!" He said, grinning happily. He was good at escaping! "S'that alright with you?"

"Thats fine with me," she beamed as she began to wade further into the water.
Oooh, this felt strange. She hadn't been this far into water for a long time, the cool water lapping at her tummy and making her flinch and wince as she adjusted. When she'd reached a reasonable depth, where she could still touch her feet to the floor, Ihlo shut her eyes.

Rengo seemed to move right into it, feeling no need to get used to the temperature. He splashed around a little bit and looked over at her. "Kay, I'm ready when you are." He purred out, splashing a bit her way before moving as quietly as he could through the shallows.

Ihlo squealed as he splashed her and opened her eyes, smirking at him with a determination to catch her 'prey.' She then closed her eyes again and wiggled her ears about.
"Predator!" she called out.

He smirked and his tail flicked. "Prey." He called in a sing song voice, slowly stepping through the water so he could try to make as little noise as possible.

Ihlo continued to sploosh around, having not heard his entry into the water.
"Predator!" she called out, moving away from Rengo in any direction where he might be.

Rengo giggled to himself, though it would probably give away where he was to her. "Prey!" He called out, staying where he was for a moment because she was not all that close, he felt he had fair warning before he had to move.

Ihlo's little tongue poked out of her mouth as she splashed around, determined to find Rengo eventually. She did indeed hear his mild giggling, but she was no better off as she turned and swam into some long grass-reeds.
"Aha! I have your tail!" she claimed victoriously, waiting for the disappointed groan from her playmate.
But it didn't come.
"Rengo?" she said as she opened her eyes and blushed brightly when she saw she had a hold of reeds rather than a tail.

Rengo flopped onto his side because he was laughing so much, but more good naturedly than to hurt the adol's feelings. "Sorry, that's not me last time I checked!" He sat up and winked, then moved to the shore and shook off.
"Hey listen, I've gotta get back to my mum or she'll freak.. maybe we can play again! Byebye!" With that he was already running off.

Ihlo continued to blush, but laughed also, a reed still dangling from her mouth as she followed suit and slooshed out of the water.
"See you again soon Rengo!" she shouted her goodbyes to his backside as he obviously needed to go back to his family.
She shook her now less-than-white pelt to dislodge anymore stray reeds or water-bugs, and left a trail of soggy pawprints behind her as she too wandered back to her family. The reed in her mouth? A little memento.
