The graveyard was quiet and Kit could hear herself breathe as she padded through her father's domain. It was all so familiar, and though much bleaker than her new home, it was welcoming. It had been so long since she had visited, and though so many new, wonderful things had happened, she sorely missed her father. She loved all of her family, of course, but she had been a daddy's girl since day one.

She exhaled softly, slowing down as she approached her father's den. His scent was heavy in the air and she could see his furs poking out. A grin crept across her lips. No matter how much time passed, some things didn't change.

And yet some things did. Kit herself had grown into her adult form and had fallen in love. Not only that, but she believed - no, she knew - that she was carrying her mate's cubs. This brought her a sort of joy she had never felt before, and she longed to tell her father the wonderful news. Would he be excited for her? The female did not know that her brother was already a father. It had been a concern of hers, but eventually, the worry passed. Ausha would be thrilled, she just knew he would be.

And Ash! Her love had come with her, though she had requested that he waited on the outskirts of the graveyard so as to give her a private moment of reunion with her father. Here she was, back at home - her first home.

"Daddy?" she called out gently, her tail flicking.
