There really isn't much of any fan stuff for FF6...there's some horrible fanfics on fanfiction.net that give me da giggles.
And I don't know about your vanishing clothes!

Although I agree with you, most of stuff about ffvi on that site scares me. (Although I've mostly read the Cyan stuff so I can't speak for all of it...)
It's really sad...
But there is one thing I've seen on there that I personally enjoyed! Someone wrote a novel to go with the game. They used most of the dialogue and so forth. But added stuff as well.
From what I've read so far, it's well done.
