I actually really enjoy this photograph But I cant decide if it's entirely too cliche for me to take seriously
your opinions?

******** cliche, go with the picture.
It could use a little more distinction between foreground and background, but I think it's pretty great.

I want a mountain made of rock candy. CANDY MOUNTAIN, CHARLIE, CANDY MOUNTAIN! :O
I think it's a nice photo regardless of the "cliche" (which I'm not seeing). THe lack of contrast makes it look really flat and muddied, though. On my first glance, I thought the railroad track was part of the guy's arm :0

It's a really neat pic, but I'd suspect it could benefit from some after effects. I'd personally crop a little off of the right side to move him further from the center, and adjust the contrast a bit for clarity I think.
The subject matter is a bit cliche, but the way this image comes together has enough merit to outweigh that.
