JKR already said that this is wrong.Plus if he did have a polijuice potion, don't you think he would have saved his wife too? and harry? and where would he get lupin's DNA if he dies in the exsplosion? there wouldn't be a body, theirfore no life time amout of hair for the potion.

i agree with everyone else, i don't think it is possible, but wouldn't sirius know if that happened?cause james was his best friend.
