Appearance: Upon a casual passing encounter with Ezekeal, one would never suspect the eccentric mind for who he is. His style of dress and manner of keeping his physical appearance is most unlike his colleiges, enhancing his already under-aged features. While his well into his twenties, Schaefer's facial structure and frame gives him a appeance of being in his late teens; which is accented by the mussed, half-styled manner in which he keeps his hair and the short goatee he keeps. His choice in clothing is somewhat different as well, as long as weather permits he wears a dark long-sleeved tee, overwhich is usually a bright hawaiian or tribal dragon print shirt. Paired with his shirts are usually either jeans or khaki pants, fastened with a brass-trimmed belt, and either a pair of beige construction boots or black skate shoes. A few items he usually has on his person in is a plain corded necklace with a fossilized tooth, a casual wristwatch, and black back-pack.

Personality: Ezekeal exhibits a personality that is quite contrasting, depending upon his enviroment. Within a casual setting, his attitude and manner of dress give little hint to the fact that he is an scientific genious. Conversation with the man does give flicking hints to his intelligence, though they are shrouded in quips and jokes; as he is a rather jovial person, always up for a joke or a good time as long as his career isn't impacted; even going as far as to find humour in almost any situation. Examining his behavour with the opposing sex, it is appearantthat Ezekeal is a firm believer in that chivalry is not dead, going somewhat out of his way to be of courtiousand assiting nature to the female specimen. He also has a conservationist streak, trying to keep all his activities nature-friendly and spends a sizable portion of his down-time out in undevelouped regions, in which he is quite relaxed and takes life at a slower pace.
Meanwhile, on the clock Schaefer's extremely dedicated to his current task, often waiving his breaks to get as far as possible during his shift. He has a driving motivation to explore, discover, and improve the world before him, going as far as such to forsake his own well-being in the name of his projects. His fortidute, however, does have it's limits, as his focus is often preferred to his own projects or those which will further his own gain more so than others. While it can be said that Fortitude is his greatest virtue, his governing Vice is Pride; in either mindset when he's challenged Ezekeal rashly reacts, quickly confronting whoever issued the threat.

Relationships: While he has gone out on a number of dates in his years, Ezekeal has never really connected with anyone yet, and at this current point in his life he doesn't seek a permanent engagement either. His parents are both deceased, and his half-sister is well involved with her own life in Austrailia; he has had little contact with any other realatives since his father's passing. Outside of immediate family Shaefer has a few ties, only two people he really claims as friends, a Law officer in his old Hometown, and a computer technician, Cody Thomson; both known from well into his childhood.

Vocation: University Graduate, officially unemployed though preforms under-the-table work with PC repair.

Hobbies/Intersts: Develouping his own theories on gene manipulation, sci-fi story writing, camping, paintball and computer building.

Background:
Raised only child, Ezekeal was born into an initially upper middle-class family, his father a respected lawyer and his mother a biologist. During his early childhood, he spent much of his time with his mother, Destiny Schaefer, as she traveled to the national parks of the western states, growing up immersed in scientific study and the beauty of nature. This period of his youth had a impacting effect on Ezekeal, which is the source of his fondness of untamed wilds; and fuels the conservative side of his mindset. Once of schooling age, he found himself now primarily in the care of his father, Matthew Schaefer, for the majority of the year while his mother continued to travel.
It was quickly discovered that Ezekeal was a brilliant academic, having been placed in a 1st-2nd grade combination class while in the prior; the young boy often finished his assignment, and proceeded to work on the second grade's as well. Upon this discovery, he was accellerated a to third grade upon completion of the school year. Once in junior high, Schaefer found his favourite classes were in life-science; which was carried into highschool as he aquired a number of college prep courses of that field. Almost as a foreshadow of his future, it was an English writing project that led him to start develouping the plot of his sci-fi story of transforming experiments and a hidden lab.
Within his Junior year Ezekeal's life took a dramatic turn downhill. Destiny, his mother, was killed when the small plane she had chartered suffered engine trouble and crashed into a mountain side. This event wounded the young man, but it was just the start of a chain of blows; that year Ezekeal lost not just his mother, but his father too. Death, however, didn't claim Matthew Schaefer, his sorrow and grief ruined the once great man; plunging him into a world of alcohol and low-rung jobs and dragging the house into the poverty bracket. Ezekeal managed to persevere, he himself making a name in the local area for PC repair, at the same time he was able to keep his grades and spirits high; despite the fact that his college funds were sacrificed to help feed the broken house.
Fortitude proved to be a saving grace, as though he no longer had the finacial backing to attend a university; Ezekeal earned a number of grants that allowed him to gain access to the higher education at USD he sought. Leaping at the oppertunity that he'd thought had been lost, Ezekeal moved on campus, quickly getting situated in the area. While he did explore other fields, once again his focus in school returned to biological subjects; which quickly sharpened into genetics. Fellow students, and even his professers; were quite taken-back by his grasp of the aspects of genes and how they functioned. It was during his latter years' attendance that he began to formulate what would become the obsession of his life and an extraction from the very fiction he had written years before; a method of restructuring DNA in an existing organism, essentially changing A into B, or anwhere inbetween.
This however, what could be the greatest breakthrough of the era, has also been Ezekeal's stumbling block; as such an advanced and near fictitious concept was met with rejection and mockery. While admittedly his coding and formulae were fragmented and hard to follow; his core material was sound, it was just up to him to prove the fact so. He spent the last of his time in the university primarilly finallizing his 'Chimaera Theory' while completing his remaining course, begrudgingly diverting time away from his pet-project. Even with his focus somewhat skewed, Schaefer still earned his doctorate in genetics, ranking in the upper tier of his class; though even this high-point of his life was accompanied by a dark shadow.
Matthew Schaefer, passed away the night after Ezekeal's graduation; the years of achoholism had ravaged his body. Even though he had no comprehension of the Theory, the father had been a firm supporter behind Ezekeal in his efforts to prove it feasable. Myth Schaefer, Ezekeal's half-sister from his father's earlier relationship, attended to their sire's funeral, one of the few times the siblings met. With both parents lost to him, and no other close realitives in the area, Ezekeal packed and moved out of his life-time home, boarding with a friend of the family for a temporary basis.

Current Status:
Eager to get started on what he is sure to revolutionize the world, Ezekeal has reached out a number of genetic leaders across the globe, sending them a his records and a brief overview of his Chimaera Theory, seeking a chance to make his place in history by making the final breakthrough and applying his dream. While he waits, he's riding the name he made for himself in computer maintenance and construction, which he currently earns his keep with; in addition he picked up a light fan base over the net, readers having taken to the ongoing story of a hidden underground lab, which practices a perversion of his theor

Seeing as though your quest was started after the specified cut off date, you wouldn't be able to quest a wild canid or a domestic wolf-like canid. This is due to the fact that there are a lot of wild canids on the island already and the lab staff wish for more diversity. heart
