If one were, per se, a werewolf, or any like animal; would it show up in their physical bodies? I have urges to bite (usually when threatened), I can keep decent balance, one of my ears is pointed, I run on the balls/front part of my feet, and most importantly, though armpit/chest hair has yet to grow much, my legs are abnormally hairy. Could any/all of this show I'm astrally part, or maybe even full, werewolf?

Depends on who you're asking.

Some people might believe that means you could be. Some people might think that has nothing to do with it. Its personal beliefs you're asking people to tell you about.

Honestly, I don't know personally, I don't pay much attention to these specific things. Good luck with that.

Did you look at your families record for hairy people?

well, lycans transform as far as i know @_@; so i'd say it's probrably something else unless this change had occured in a more rapid pace than normal

As Dorian Requiem said, it is a matter of personal belief. We believe that astrally you may very well be part werewolf, or something else for that matter. Have you ever visited your astral temple?

well is doesn't have to show up in the person to be werewolf. My family has a long line and the only two things that are ohsyical that points me out are my semi- pointed ears and my semi-sharpe top and bottom canine teeth. Really try to focus more on the other parts like moon shifts. Does the shifts of the moon changes your sleeping habits, do you prefer red meat over other foods, do your nails grow long very quickly, do you get the feeling to hunt, do you have great balance, and other questions like that. Really with the hair thing that is mostly genetics by humans and with the biting humans concentrate on the best fighting way they have when backed into a corner. Like if you thought your arms were better then your bit you would rather fist fight. Really I highly doubt you are mostly it has to ceom from genetics now and at least another person in your family would have the same thing as you that shows other signs.
but hey, you never know.

Personally, I believe in having a natural affinity to an animal or even a fetish... Most people that meet me catch onto an almost feline feeling when they are around me... but actually being part animal... I doubt it... ((Wishful thinking on most people's part, I think...))

Don't blame hairyness on bad genes. We all have a feral side to us... basic instincts... it is a part of life. ^^

A human mind can trick its body into doing things if you believe enough in it.

There are many things that could cause that. Genetics is certainly one. The others can be astral or spiritual traits. Both of these are typically passed from generation to generation. IE I am a gypsy. My spiritual background flows strongly through the women of my family. My mother and grandmother are as well, although my grandmother would never admit such a trait. Look to your parents, they would follow similarly. And do not think that animalistic traits mean werewolf. A werewolf is a cursed creature. Lycan is entirely different. They simply take on a more wolfish tendency and personality. Lycans also often care more for those around them than themselves, and will put friends and family welfare above most else. But there are other things as well, some of them can be said and some of them cannot. Only you can search this out. I would recommend you do some soul searching. Do some homework, too. And if this is something you see in your relatives, don't be ashamed to ask them questions. See if they enjoy the same things you do. As for biting.. That’s not very polite. All I can suggest is gum. And lots of it ^_^

Behavior; yes.
Physical bodies; not necessarily, all of the traits you've described can be very human as well, not 'wolf'... With genetics and all.

I think we'd have to know a lot more than what you've given to know if you were a Therian or Were, or whatever you'd like to call it.

There are what is called 'Physical Werewolves' or the like, and they aren't physical shifting werewolves... don't be mistaken. They are simply, or more complicated, people who have bodies that can be best described as animal like. More so, almost like primitive human, hunter-gatherer types. There is an article on the Otherkin.com forum about physical werewolves that I think is good for people to read. You might need to have a log-in to read it. A Treatise On The Physical Werewolf. By Lopting I highly suggest this reading.

@PsychoticDreamer - Who said these "lycans" aren't 'cursed' as well? Werewolf simply means human-animal, more likely refered as man-wolf. And for that reason, in alot of folklore, there are few female Wereanimals to be seen, but they exist, its just a ratio. Weres don't have to shift physically to call themselves Weres...

I'll have to ask everyone to refrain from using the word 'lycan' its very annoying. -_- and not really correct. If you must, say lycanthrope.

It does depend on who you are asking, but I'd rather like to you to find someone who knows what they are talking about, who has done research, and then come back and decide for yourself. All in all, its your finding, It doesn't make you different thant what you have already been.

Other than that, you can't be part 'werewolf' You are part ___ wolf, or other animal. Were means human, or man. So you'd be part wolf, or whatever. Not werewolf. Make sense? Another pet peeve. confused

Another thing, don't be too focused on 'the full moon' myths. They are just myths, mostly accounted for the media and such. I do believe, in some cases, it may play a part in shifting, as the moon is very strong in energy, it does play a role in alot of lifeforms lives and how they act or behave and live. I also believe in some cases, that it may be relative to the shifter's birthmoon.

All in all, I seriously think being a Were is quite rare. That is isn't as widely spread as the internet makes it out to be. Sure, there are 'a lot', but probably only a handful in this giant world of ours. Many people mix it up with totems, and their spirit guides, and being a furry, and having an affinity with and animal, and just having a connection, even if strong, its still just a connection. Not many do shift, or if they do, they did and/or not much anymore. Sometimes I believe being a Were is different than being a Therian, but most therians do shift (mentally, and spirituall), or say they do. Its more of a preference on who do trust and believe.

I myself have been a shifter all my life in dreams, and very animal like in behavior. I'm very 'dream adept' if you will, and have self-taught myself to lucid dream and astral project. I used to think everyone else could do this too, that it was pretty normal. But I've just learned that I was the natural, and everyone else had a hard time doing it. I've had 'dreams' of shifting that are so real and stressing that I'll wake up with sore muscles that aren't the normal 'wake-up' sore muscles... they are muscles under your jaw, like under your tongue, and in my thighs... normally, if you sleep weird, its the neck and shoulder muscles, or the arms or feet. Probably the closest thing to physical you can get without, you know, physically shifting... and I think one has the right to withhold any of that information for protection and safety. And fear of being ridiculed is always a good turn off too.

And, well, anyone who has ever had a mental shift in conjoined with a phantom shift should know... Its kind of nuts if you work in a petstore...
Trying hard not to make a fool of yourself over the chinchillas. XD.

But all in all, don't take my word as a bible or anything. I'm just one person, just making theories of my experiences with other Weres... and such, I'm new to knowledge, and we learn things everyday, but just take things into concideration. Don't believe everything you read, and research EVERYTHING. Multiple times. To feel what is truth in you. And what isn't.
