Happy New Years!

Has anybody here experienced the Japanese New Year before? It was really fun! The soba and mochi were good, too.

No specific New Years Resolutions, only to put more effort into everything, and try not to procrastinate so much. And to learn more Japanese, of course biggrin I just hope that I pass the test to get into Japanese 104 (if they make me take it) when I get back.

Nobody bothered to tell me the names of anything...*runs off to Wikipedia*

I like the kuromame and the ozouni and osechiryouri. Not the little daikon so much, though. Suppai! Or the yellow whatsitcalled or the little fish. (My host sister loves the fish, though. She was sneaking them all day on the 31st while Mama wasn't looking.)

I just wish that my stomach hadn't shrunk so much so that I could actually enjoy all the good food... I love mochi, but I only had half of a single yakimochi. (We put cheese on top, too! Did you do that?)
