 Al'covora woke with a brief yawn, his blue and golden feathered wings stretched over a leaf and grass woven nest, filled with various soft things, such as feathers, new grown grass and anything else they could have found.
His golden eyes began to focus before he pulled his wings back in a good morning stretch, revealing his gorgeous mate, still asleep and huddled around a clutch of three eggs.
The eggs were a series of colours that matched both him and his mate, Gypsy. Two in particular matched the other more, while one was far more of a mix of both parents than the other two. A gorgeous trio they would hatch into, he himself could hardly wait to see the triplet’s new born faces.
 Careful not to wake his mate in slumber, he moved to the edge of the large nest and gave further stretches to wake any groggy muscles that refused to wake with him while he was in the centre of the nest.
Today they would take turn in flight. One would remain with the eggs, while the other went off in search of food and water.

 Gypsy let out a little chirp as she felt herself start to wake up. She slowly opened up her eyes, lifting her head up and letting out a large yawn. She still felt tired after laying her eggs, but she smiled fondly, lowering her head to shift them about, her tails running along them lovingly.
She looks up at her mate and smiles, chirping her greeting to him as she continues to lay there, not wanting to get up and leave them just yet.

Al'covora turned his attention to Gypsy as she stirred and awoke, before giving her morning greetings.
With a gentle smile he slid down into the centre of the nest and gave her a loving nuzzle against her neck fur, to greet her morning chirps.
"I'm sorry; I hope I didn't wake you."
He said quietly before coiling his tails around her and the eggs as well.
He still couldn't quite get over the fact that he was going to be a father, he could already picture their kits in his mind now, running and frolicking about in a grassy or playing tug of war on their parents tails.

She purrs and chirps at him, nuzzling him lovingly, "No, you didn't wake me, even though I am still tired. Oh Al, isn't it wonderful? Three beautiful kits! She chirps, shifting the eggs about again, flapping her wings about and fluffing up the feathers before letting them settle back down again.

Al'covora nodded joyfully eyeing all three of the eggs once more, before nuzzling up against Gypsy. They were a gorgeous bunch, no wonder, having the same genes of Gypsy; they were bound to be beautiful.
"I await eagerly for them to hatch."
He said quietly to her in a loving tone, his joyfulness and his eagerness was well shown as well in his voice and his body movements. He was fidgeting with his feathers, the tips of his tails twitching in obvious anxiousness.
Thoughts ran through his head, like 'what if I'm not a good enough father to them--will I be able to support my family’s needs?' running through his mind.
Flicking his tails aside and pulling a feather out of his mouth, he gave one more stretch before turning to face Gypsy once more.
"Are you hungry, my love?"

She smiles and licks his cheek lovingly, but mainly to calm him down, "Well, right now, I am more tired then hungry, took alot of work to lay the eggs. Why don't you go and get some food, I'll keep the eggs warm until you come back, by then I will feel up to eating." she exclaims, flapping her wings up and then settling one over all three of their eggs.

Al'covora nodded in understanding, she must be tired. Birth giving took a lot out of one, and though he, being a male, would never experience that, thank God, he would respect her current decision in wanting to rest with her eggs further.
"Alright, I'll be back once I've gathered a few munchies. Is there any thing in particular you would like?"
He asked before moving to the edge of the nest and peering over the edge and down towards the ground, from the high branches of the tree that the nest was made within.

The red kitsu shakes her head and smiles, "No Al, I am fine! Go on, wake me up when you come back." she chirps. Then shifting her wings about, she makes doubly sure their three eggs are covered from any wind and out of sight and one tail wrapped around each egg, she lays her head down and closes her eyes, letting herself doze off again.

Al'covora nodded once more silently, before leaping from the nest and snapping his wings open, acting like a parachute as he fell from the nest, and allowing him to gain some air with a few strong beats of his sturdy wings.
What kind of foods did she desire? Well taking it from his point of view, being a creature so similar to himself in many ways, perhaps she preferred the similar food types like he did? Which in his case was succulent fruits. It couldn't hurt to try, and offer it to her. Though.. It was a little sad not even knowing his mates favorite dish--how shameful.
Gliding over the vast grassy field he chirped quietly as the suns rays soaked through his jewel blue feathers and into his skin, warming him for his flight.
Well, he could always stop by the head quarters and go into the kitchen to grab something.. But perhaps Gypsy would rather prefer fresh picked fruit?
She could even drink the juice if she were thirsty, until it was his turn to watch the nest and she took to the air and was able to get a good drink for herself.
"There’s a watering hole."
He said to himself and began descending from the skies and circled down to the ground below. First he would get himself a drink before he went on further for their breakfast. He wouldn't have time to get a drink later, that was for sure, he'd be far too absorbed in snuggling the three eggs and getting some more sleep.
Lowering his head down to the water he gave another stretch of his wings and began lapping the water up, the cool liquid slid down his throat, washing away any roughness in his throat that he may have gained over night from his sleep.
Raising his head up he began to look around for any fruit bearing trees, but he couldn't see any around here, perhaps there was none that bared his typical favorite tropical fruits, after all they weren't even in a tropical land. Why had he never taken this into consideration? Oh well, he would just make his rounds to the head quarters after all and grab some tropical fruits for her.
Giving one last light stretch he leapt forwards over the watering whole and gave several steady flaps of his wings, the tips of them touching the water briefly as he was carried high into the sky and towards the head quarters. Perhaps he would take the more scenic route though? After all, he should let Gypsy get some more sleep; she had had such a long night.
(( Is it alright if I bring another one or two of my kitsu's in, while Al goes to the head quarters? Just to talk briefly with? ))
