sorry about not being here forever. i've had school and karate pick up. omg there's so much!!! anyways. the emotion study we go into of course is really deep like everything else we do, but it focuses on 3 emotions. anger, happiness and sadness. these are not just get kinda mad. but anger like rage. happiness not like your spouce kissing you or winning $5, but like "psychotic happy" it was put. and sadness like a close friend or relative dying. extreme emotions. you dont' get into it for a long long long long time. i learned it when my sensai was learning it. he's been at it for 25 years in the same art, so it's not a topic thrown out before black belt and even after. to use the emotion that's suited for the situation, but the how's a whys still get me a bit. the anger in silat was something i noted similar. each emotion does something to your body, i don't exactly know what, but i would assmue it's what jass said: "emotional content has always effected martial training, so why not utilise and exploit it?"
one thing that we got to try was if we were decent at controling our emotions then get all flustered up, get really really really angry and try hitting each other lightly and see how much it hurts, then try going to another emotion and feel the difference if your partner strikes with the same force. i thought it was cool. i just wanted to know what you guys know.

Yeah, lol. I always tell that to Reim, the only problem is that I can't say that without saying it in a hong kong accent XD
*Is filipino-chinese and makes fun of his own race frequently* sweatdrop
Then again, I'm the guy who goes to chinese restauraunts just to say "Can I have some chinese spare ribs? What, you don't know what chinese spare ribs are? Lemme show ya!" [/bruceleemoviereference]
(Guess the movie and get a cookie!)

I dont look half filipino until I tell someone that. So Id be making fun of flips with the sak attack, and people would stare. Or we'd be in the asian mall eating ramen, and the asians would be all "What's whitey up to?"

*Punches Gank in his Vietnamese spare ribs and gives him a cookie*
Heh. Asian malls don't like filipinos either, much less filipino-germans. whenever I go into the stores, the clerks always give me this stare like I'm going to steal something.
