Im looking through the shop window, of a tailor's shop, but it has a surreal feeling to it. The shop's walls inside are pale pink,(a horrid color if you ask me) and the main taylor(a woman) is sitting near a mirror ordering her apprentices about(also all female) while they try fitting a wedding dress onto a customer and making alterations. It seems to be a scene of chaos and disorder, and all the women save me and the customer are dressed in HOT pink,(dont know why but these little dresses they're wearing remind me of flower petals) and have almost freakishly white skin (in a non gothic way) they had very short blonde hair. The apprentices are bubbling about gossiping and saying how beautiful the customer is. The customer seems slightly uncomfortable around these women and i remember thinking she may be embarrased because of our skin for some reason. (We have a hispanic look to us). everything out side the shop was in all black white and grey. like an old film almost.
I had a this dream as a child and never realy told anyone about it, but here's the curious thing about it though:
I suddenly have it again and again after all these years. I was so young when i first had the dream i dont think i even understood half the details around it all. but this time around the details of the women being SO pale, ther being EIGHT aprentices, and the other hispanic woman being in a WEDDING dress stood out so much. i woke up from this dream twice in three weeks in a sweat. I almost feel afraid once the dream is over.
Any ideas on this?

One must keep in mind that some dreams do not hold deep meanings. Our brains are made to dream to help organize different thoughts. With that being said, your dream could simply be one of getting married yourself. It could also mean other things as well, but I will try to share what I get with some of the pieces. Are you sure that the hispanic woman could even see you? Were you possibly the hispanic woman, but you were outside of your body looking in? The fact that she was being fussed over and she didn't seem to be comfortable with it tells me that you don't seem to enjoy being center of attention...ever. This is OK. But one always has a time when they shine. Good school work, good career work, getting married, having a day of really good hair, whatever. I think here your dream may be trying to show your fear of being center of attention and trying to show you that you need to rationalize that fear a bit more. Because your dream was black & white except for the shop, kind of pushes me even more into thinking that you actually were the woman in the wedding dress. Dream Moods says this about women: Quote: Woman To see a woman in your dream, represents nurturance, passivity, caring nature, and love. It refers to your own female aspects or may also represent your mother. Alternatively, it may indicate temptation and guilt. If you know the woman, then it may symbolize the concerns and feelings you have about her. To see a group of women talking in your dream, refers to some gossip. Dream Moods on Wedding Dress: Quote: Wedding Dress To wear a wedding dress in your dream, indicates that you are evaluating and assessing your personal relationship. To see someone else wearing a wedding dress, suggests that you are feeling inferior or unworthy. Quote: Pink Pink represents love, joy, sweetness, happiness, affection, kindness. Being in love or healing through love is also implied with this color. Hot Pink The appearance of hot pink color in your dream, represents sex and lust. Quote: Black And White To dream in black and white, suggests that you need to be more objective in formulating your decisions. You may be a little too unyielding in your thought process and thus need to find some sort of balance between two opposing views. Consider the views and opinions of others. Alternatively, black and white dreams is a sign of depression or sadness. You may feel thatthere is not enough excitement in your life. I don't much like this interpretation, especially since it usually refers to the entire dream. Quote: Eight Eight stands for power of authority, success, karma, material gains, regeneration, and wealth.

Thank you, that bring quite a bit of light to the dream. It makes a little more sense than before.
I do get freaked out when i'm the center of attention.
I did not recognize the woman, but I felt... close to her. I guess it could be a dream equivalent to me. I certainly could relate.
I dont know why I had this when I was a child, but i think that it became reccuring, because my family wants we to have a traditional hispanic Quinces, (same thing as an elaborate sweet sixteen, but at 15). I dont like the idea of that too much.
But thanks, for taking your time to help me. I'll be sure to check out that web site.

That was the one thing that my friends kept asking me about when I lived in Texas...whether or not they were invited to my quicinera....I wasn't too excited about the idea, and my family wasn't hispanic so I just looked at them funny and said, "Now why the heck would I have one of those? Have you *looked* at my skin lately?" I had very pale skin...lol
As for having the dream when you were a child, it is most likely because your parents talked about it and you may have felt somewhat pressured. It's amazing how much a kid can soak in from their surroundings!
Usually reoccurring dreams have something to do with an obstacle or something that has not been overcome, or something that hasn't happened yet, or something that you haven't learned yet. Hopefully now that you have discussed it, maybe it will cease. Also, maybe it will stop once you get married! But we can wait for that! lol It could also be that you need to allow yourself to be center of attention at some points in your life.
By the way...do you have a birthday coming up soon? It could be that the dream is coming back because you will be center of attention for a day, and you are worried about it. Try not to be so anxious. Try to allow people to compliment you. I know how hard it is...I'm still having major issues with it...I'm getting slightly better, but it does take time...OMG does it take time!
