Does this include Mexican Train? That's the only Domino game I know how to play, though I think I played another one before, but I don't really remember. o.O

I guess this thread is about Mexican Train, if it's included in this sub-forum. ^_^

edit: An explanation of Mexican Train: the object of the game is to get rid of all your dominoes. Each player gets the same amount at the beginning, and the one with the highest double puts it in the middle of a circular piece of plastic. Each player begins a train with whatever number is in the center and builds on it as the game progresses.

If a player can't make a move, they pull a tile from the bone yard and if they still can't play, their train is open for anyone to play on. when a player can play on their train, it is closed to the other players, normally denoted by a small plastic train being on the player's train.

A player can start a new train, called a Mexican train, if they have another domino that has the center number on it. Anyone can play on this train at anytime.

A player can only play one tile at a time, unless a double is played, in which case two dominoes can be played. If the player is unable to close the double, then they draw a tile. If they still can't, the next player must finish it, going around the circle until the double is closed.

I usually use a set of dominoes that go up to double 12 when I play.

Would you believe it, I went out to buy a set of dominos and they sold completely out over xmas! I don't know if they will get more back in stock or if it was just seasonal. Otherwise, I will have to wait til I go to a bigger town.

I like it for the most part, one of the rules I don't agree with that you can go out when you don't even have your own train started. I think you should have to have your train started before you can win the game instead of useing the mexican train to get rid of all of your peices.

I dissagree. If you can get rid of all your pieces on Mexican trains, then you deserve to win. It's a lot harder to win the game when you don't have your own train. And it would be depressing if you knew you couldn't win because all the pieces that you could have used to start a train have been played already.
