I need help with the lyrics... I can't find the backing vocal lyrics for the song anywhere online, and they're hard to hear specifically since they got this echo-y sound behind Robert's voice. I'm trying to learn the song to sing and play on my guitar, and I wanna know the backing vocal lyrics too. Help? sad

I don't think there really is any. I think it's just a robert's voice echoing and lol or simon in the background singing charlotte sometimes

Oh, I know what you're talking 'bout...the cries in the background of "...Charlotte Sometimes! Charlotte Sometimes!..."
I'm sure it's Robert's voice added in afterwards.

How very interesting.. i did not know that. I love this site! Stiff As Toys Tall As Men Charlotte Sometimesauthor: Penelope Farmer -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the first page says... by bedtime all the faces, the voices, had blurred for charlotte to one face, one voice. she prepared herself for bed, very slowly and deliberately, cleaning her teeth with the new green toothbrush, undressing awkwardly because she did not like to hide herself in the washing cubicle with her fellow new girl, susannah; but she was on the other hand much too shy and strange... and further into the story... she was crying and crying for a girl who had died more than forty years before, whom, in any normal world, to any normal way of thinking, she could not have possibly have known; whom she had never seen, though she had lived with her. she was crying for herself, perhaps, and for emily.

Thanks guys. I figured it was just "Charlotte Sometimes" for most of it, but it was hard to decipher those parts where Robert's voice seemed loudest. It sometimes sounded like they were repeating other parts of the lyrics, but I think they're just backing what Robert's saying, before crying out "Charlotte Sometimes", probably.
