To me a father is an older male who cares for you and you have a sort of relationship with him like no one else. That doesnt mean it has to be your birth father. It could be an uncle, teacher, pastor, neighbor, and in some cases older brothers. I dont know how to explain it... but hopefully you understand what im saying. I dont think not knowing or liking your birth father would affect you in any major way either

Personally, I don't believe that it's nessisary that your birth father is involved in your life. However, I do believe that there should be some sort of adult role model figure in your life, be it your mother, your father, your youth leader, or heck, even your geometry teacher. Just, someone you can trust enough to go to with problems.
However, if you still feel residual anger, perhaps you could write a song about it.

However, I do believe that there should be some sort of adult role model figure in your life, be it your mother, your father, your youth leader, or heck, even your geometry teacher. Just, someone you can trust enough to go to with problems.

I did write a couple of songs; not that they were angry or anything, kind of empty feeling. My mum found them and freaked...she's way too easily scared.

Well if it is wrong then I am too. I never had a father, but heres how i look at it. God is my Father, my dady in a way. Also is my savior, hes my everything. So i try to think that a world father or however you want to put it will become your brother into christ. So thats how i look at it.

My mum found them and freaked...she's way too easily scared. um, so is mine but its really not really what they think. Although you can't blame them for not caring. I mean they only wants whats best for you. and in this world today hey what can i say..my mom/gradma gets worried if I'm gone for 15 minutes or whatever. So she calles the police. That gets annoying nut still, its only whats best for me in the end, even though right now ii don't understand it myself but still.
